great car, but aside from internet celebrity value, must be a decent fraction of house price, residuals not as well established as 993 rs, 964 rs, ... ( ie ) http://www.911-rs.de/

blowdog, i loved your skyline, and i love the porsche, all great cars, but we all get bored and then we need a change.
thus the reason you did not take the gtr to the grave, you enjoyed it, sucked
every last bit of enjoyment from it then threw it on the **** pile for a new toy.
thats the way it works.
respect.

You lucky lucky lucky B I am so jealous
Theres one with the blue graphics/wheels does the hot marques nites at Knockhill occassionally, looks & sounds awesome it was the only thing to get near a Radical that nite. Somehow can't see my Mrs allowing me one though as it would involve selling the scoob/bike/her car and possibly the house

apologies, did not mean to be cryptic, I meant that this is a lot of money to tie up in a car, especially given that the long term seconhand market for it remains to be proven vs earlier rs versions, which for whatever reason still command a premium, do not fully agree with the "will be equal to 964rs and 993rs" argument, there is still an air-cooled ( luddite ) base of proven wealthy buyers, enjoy in any case !

I think (and Cem will correct me if I'm wrong) that he bought the car because it is just about the best drivers car available. Cem does have fine automotive taste and I don't think he necessarily bought it with resale and investment in mind (although when buying a car this expensive, I guess you have to give it some consideration). Don't forget that he did have a GT3 on order up until a couple of months ago when he changed his mind and bought the RS

Hi,
Ian, the car was amazing. I will never get to a stage where I am better than the car, I will be learning new things with it every trackday I guess. It was totally at home at Spa and the journey there and back was a joy.
On circuit, it has amazing levels of grip and traction. I need to trust the car a little more as I'm still a bit apprehensive, but I've finally learnt about 'steering by throttle' and can adjust my turn in angles by increasing or decreasing throttle. If I lift off in the RS, it suddenly lurches towards the direction I'm facing. Incredible.
And the journey home was simply beautiful, averaging a speed of about 140 and hitting 170 often. Came home, parked it up and thought nothing else of it. German engineering at its best.
At the tunnel.
On the way.
Ian Sutton and I making lines.
Blade catching up in his CSL.
Another RS catching up.

Great stuff Cem,
sounds like a real tool would love to do a 'track trip' next summer maybe visiting a few in a week or so - would be awesome.
Craig and I picked up the factory XTR4 today - its currently tucked away in the garage
I managed to go for a quick run as the tank was nearly empty (or thats my excuse) even though we'd had a spot of rain in derby and the car has Avon ACB10 road legal cut slicks on it.
Its a bit of a laugh - seems to attract a touch of attention - cant think why ?
Not at bedford on monday by any chance Cem ? if not and you fancy visit www.seloc.org - the lotus community - £135 - bargin.
Two White/Red RS's in the pits a few weeks ago - you could make it 3

You are now my XP wallpaper !
I hope you feel suitably honoured, just showed the missus and she wondered what 'BlowDog' was, she thought I was looking at a 'specialist' website, so where does your handle come from ?

Shame you didn't come to Bedford yesterday Cem. There were 3 there. Getting like 3 series these RS's aren't they?
One was driven very carefully, one was not bad and the other was going very well - they're quick above 100mph aren't they?
