Sunderland were dire in ET. No passion or desire to push forward to win it IMO.

That should be the only place to get them

Unless you support West ham or Ipswich

It's good to have the Tyne Wear derby, but I loved it when ******** McAteer missed his pen.

McCarthy was livid after Whitley's penalty, what a crappy attempt.

Makems will miss the extra dough they would have received for another season in the PL.

I thought that was strange too - you would want your strikers in that situation to take responsibility.

Thumbs up Hammers on way to Cardiff too...

ha ha, so Chris, you get us old hammers for the final.

I'm trying to wrangle a way to get to Cardiff. Guess who booked a holiday not checking what date the play-off final will be Thank God it's not on the Sunday as we leave Sunday morning.

If there is gonna be a meet up on the way can I get some form of peace pact agreed beforehand... My motor will still be running in and if West Ham win I'll have no chance of getting away from you afterwards

What a great means of running the motor in though...

Good luck m8 and may the best team win so long as it's West Ham!!

chris l i take it your not a season ticket holder or member, if so i think its wrong we have to wait till monday i couldnt be the above cause i was in the army so couldnt plan anything. it also took me 3 days to get tickets for the home game against sunderland that phone system was stupid.

with the season ticket holders getting plus 3 tickets there will be alot of fans there who probably go once a year or have a mate who is a ticket holder lets hope there are some tickets left for the loyal fans who go when they have a chance

True - we'll have to take our chances. I've been to the play off finals before and I got tickets without too much problem (that'll be the kiss of death then..). No I'm not a season ticket holder (living in Hertfordshire, it is not really practical), but when I lived in South London, I used to goto most matches.

Up until the above statement, I was feeling a little bit of sympathy for you Makems, but as usual, you let yourselves down by allowing your jealousy come to the surface.

And what you say is actually a pile of bollox. Sure, Robson's made some poor buys, but show me a manager that hasn't. And as for Big Al, the difference between us losing him, and you lot losing Phillips last season, we've actually got money to go out and buy someone (granted, they won't be as good, but no-one ever will be ), plus, we've got the pulling power to attract big name strikers, maybe not as much as the top 3, but players will still sign for the Toon.

Also, unlike yourselves, even tho we laugh when you get relegated or miss out on promotion, most Toon fans like to see all the North East teams in the top flight. Derby games are what give the season a bit extra spice.

Still, if we're being bitchy,

"Let's all laugh at Sunderland!!!!!"

who said anything about buys i was talking about him loosing the plot lol ne 1 else read story in paper about him giving gazza a guided tour round st james's park everytime he goes to watch and he never remembers the next time that he showed him around time before

heres a few more quotes from the national gaff institution that is bobby robson

Alan Shearer has done very well for us, considering his age. We have introduced some movement into his game because he has got two good legs now. Last season he played with one leg.
So he played Long John Silver-style?

I'm not going to look beyond the semi-final - but I would love to lead Newcastle out at the final

He never fails to hit the target. But that was a miss.

We didn't underestimate them. They were just a lot better than we thought.

and my personal fave -Romania won’t be up for it because they can’t qualify for the quarter-finals.
This was during Euro 2000. Yes, you've guessed it - Romania did indeed qualify for the quarter-finals after beating us

and as for the philips comment not that im grateful for what he did for the club but he wasnt doin his job towards the end it was better he left when he did for him aswell as the club

and as for newcastle being able to attract the big name players i ask u this who ?? ahh i know michael bridges 1 of our old cast offs thats injured more than he plays, what do u call Flo fair enough he may not have had a good spell with us but was a big name striker, how about stewart when we got him he was higest scoring english striker in the premiership

again as post before i offer apologies for use of bad grammer and spelling
