Know how you feel. One of mine was run over at 18months old. It's devastating.

Sorry if it's a bit off topic but how do you stand legally if your cat causes a road traffic accident resulting in property damage and personal injury claims.

Yes it is. Why dont you go look this up then mr logical? Pehaps post your query in more relevant thread. This thread is about loss not blame. But I'm sure you know that and still feel the need to blabber on while persuing your own agenda....

OK I'll look it up and no I don't know actually. Only ever kept dogs and I know you are responsible for the control of the dog. I wouldn't have thought cats are the same though as the owner is not required to have them under control.

No need for the agressive tone thankyou.

Hardly an aggressive tone, oh defensive one, especially considering the tone of some of the earlier, now deleted, replies.

thankyou.
No, thank you......

Feel free to start your own thread for whatever loss you feel for whoever.

Take it easy, guys...this isn't helping Stuey at all.

The loss of a pet can hit people extremely hard...it's amazing how they sneakle into your life leaving a huge hole when they are no longer there.

Stuey needs people to be understanding and if you can't be that, then certainly don't be argumentative.

Mods feel free to delete my posts if I have offended anyone.

Was never my intention to upset stuey further. Just pointing out that he had threatened to kill the driver of the car.
As posted I hit a cat some months back, never found out who the owner was. I don't like cats myself (Allergic to them and they eat my pond fish) but I'm still an animal lover and felt awefull that the cat had died.
The repairs to my car cost over £300 that I paid myself.

This post is living proof that SN has more than it's fair share of arseholes.

The guy's cat died and he's very upset about it. Anyone normal would have either replied to show sympathy or just not posted if they felt otherwise, but no once again we have a thread with the mods working overtime.

My sympathies to you mate and please try and ignore the off topic posters in this thread.

Mods feel free to edit this post wherever you see fit (back from the pub with my blackthorn goggles on)

Been watching this thread for a few days now, and really can't work the negative comments out, and the reasons behind it!!! Not aimed at anyone personnally but WTF are you lot on about ??

Is this yet another have a go at the Mods thread, or maybe even SDB ??? I'm not sure, but it's not very constructive, is it ???

Stu is gutted about the loss of his cat. Some people don't undertstand that, and seem to be insistant on getting as arguement brewing and trying to get people reacting, which is going to happen!! There are so many people that use this BBS which love animals (or pets, as someone has said) so why all the silly childish commments ??? Why don't you go and have a pop on another thread about front mounted intercoolers / drop links / etc, or something ??

This sort of thread and the silly comments make me think this BBS, and some of the people that use it are idiots (no surprise there) and isn't worth using...... Please prove me wrong ???

"CAN ALL THE IDIOTS / DRAMA QUEENS / SELF CENTERED PEOPLE LEAVE THIS THREAD ALONE!!!!" Thanks.....

Phill

I think the reason some people have commented in the way they have is this comment in the original post:

If I ever got the tw*t I really really would beat them to death and I 100% kin mean it
Especially when there is no mention if it was intentional or accidental death of his pet. It may wind people up the wrong way. Looking for revenge on a loss is natural, but it solves nothing and is not the course of action that should be taken without knowing the truth and understanding that there may have been nothing that could be done to prevent it.

Please don't take this the wrong way, just consider it. That is all I ask.

Anyway Stuey, you have my sympathy

If your driving too fast in a built up area with lots of houses there are bound to be animals around the place or children. Lads round here drive way too fast and I am going to take one 206GTI owner to task shortly over this as I have a 2 year old daughter who hasn't grasped road safety yet.

I lived close to the A40 and we lost one cat on that road. The person who hit my cat didn't mean to but at the time of course I wished ill on him for taking my cat away from me.

My last cat passed away about 2 years ago and the thought makes me well up even now. Really feel for you at the moment mate.

As for the usual mindless SN rubbish posters, you lads need to have a word with yourselves!

LOL - it’s about time one of these 'lets try and wind up scoobynet' types of thread gets posted Sorry, but I don't believe this thread is true. I mean, how to honour a cat Yes, pets are precious but for FFS if you love it that much that get it stuffed, spray paint over the tyre marks and put wheels on it so you can take it for walks once in awhile otherwise pretend to be normal and just remember the happy memories you had..... geeez

IMO its a lame attempt, the w1nner is still the hunting horses The day I believe these types of stories are true will be the day its not posted on here

LOL

I'm still trying to work out how

"If I ever got the tw*t I really really would beat them to death and I 100% kin mean it." is appropriate but everything else got editted.

I'm pretty sure If i said "If I see another cat crap in my garden I'll beat it to death" it would get editted out.

Of course I'd ask in the S'Net policy thread I "created" but errrr that got locked.

RoadRunner V2

You are unbelievably out of order. You obviously have no pets or you wouldnt have come out with such a lame comment. Or a heart come to that.

Anyone that has a pet can relate to how they would feel if ever something horrible happened to their animal. I know if something happened to my puppy or cat i would be devasted.

I pressume you put that post on just to wind everyone up and to see what reaction you get. Personally you could have put it somewhere where no-one gives a $hit what you say, and not somewhere to take the pi$$ out of someones heartache. Thats not very fair at all.

My mother-in-law had her dog for 14 years and was torn to pieces when he died. She made a collage of him and that was her way to honour him. If someone wants to honour a pet, let them. There's really no need to be so little minded or abusive about it.

Ok, I think this has gone on long enough. I'm not pointing the finger at anyone in particular, but if people want to have a flame take it to fight club and not the main forums.
