I recently had a play with a new M3 convertable - original thread on a "was it you" thingy. We went up to 70mph and there was absolutely nothing in it. Scooby second gear let me down (as always), you couldnt split us. The only reason I guessed he was trying is because the fella drives like a n0b every morning and I knew he couldnt resisit.
My 99 classic scooby is ever so slightly modded (appx 240bhp)..
Happy days

My pet hamster is actually a wizard from the ripe berry clan. He can create shopping trolleys with just a wiggle of his nose.

Owned both (M3 Evo and Sti8 ppp) - very closely matched. If you want a conclusive answer I suggest you drive both and take what people say here with a gigantic shovel full of sodium chloride!
(except those who have extensively driven both of course)

Well guys, I went for a un in both a lidls trolley and a Safeway trolley tonight and can say that the liddles trolley was faster in a straight line.
Whilst coiasting its cornering ability left a lot to be desired, unlike the Safeway trolley that managed to take a long sweeping left hander and clear a set of three stairs with considerable ease before coming to a halt after chronic oversteer caused kerb impact and a badly bruised swellbow.
I felt the Lidles model would be better daily driver and offers more crash protection and a smoother ride!
I thank you!

I tested out the new Heathrow trolleys last night.
Fantastic handling, even in the twisties by the BA desk, though the hand-operated squeeze braking system was a novelty.
Straight-line performance was also much better than expected - 0 - walking pace in just one stride, and that was fully loaded (max. capacity 2 suitcases or 27 Romanian asylum seekers*). Likes a drink though - loads of them were obviously queueing outside the Wetherspoons pub for a refill.
And the owners! I've never seen such a bunch of "better than you" snobs, all poing on about their expensive foreign holidays. You'd have thought the ownsers of such fine beasts could have some other topis of conversation, but no, it was Florida this and LA that.
I'm off to Happy Shopper - reckon I'll meet my sort of people there.
*Just to try and combine several of the more popular threads on SN

Well the worst handling trolley I've ever encountered are the Costco trolleys - Overweight, poor steering and a crap chassis make for a very dissapointing experience. With me pushing the bhp/tonne for the average costco beast is a mere 23.76 - compare that the the M&S equivalent of 47.76 and I don't know why we are even having this debate! I admit that your average Costco consists of more straights than your average M&S but even taking into account braking and 4 versus 3 wheel drive the M&S is still a better a to b Trolley
Having said that I did have a run in with a costco trolley in my STi8 and whilst the overweight lump was left for dead in the car-park (round the twisties) I didn't spot it's mate infront of me and now my Legendary Subaru paint is part of Trolley number 87234-65A .

Damn, I was hoping for a right argument. Ok, time to stoke it up
'I think.......no I KNOW that the M3 in fact ANY M3 is the fastest car in the world' and the most reasonably priced.

LOL, let me give you a hand: Agree with you mate. It is also THE definitive driving machine. If only BMW would leverage this fact by basing their marketing it.

Notice its a tesco trolley, with MAF sensor problem so fuel surge could be possible.
Think you would be better with the wagon version.
