Great day out, and a proper warm-up to TOTB III .
Was brilliant to see some of the fastest Scoobies in the UK giving it some.
Highlight - Seeing CRD put up a 201.6 mph in their Supra, to add to their winning Scooby!
Low - Coughing and spluttering everytime I used nitrous, leaving me to get my fastest times without the gas.

Speed of 87 and doing 13.2's??? hows that possible? i had a speed of 97 and did a 13.98 at the pod....
Just curious.

I was well chuffed with my 12.8 @ 96 (Car 99)
first proper event with decent clutch.
tried avarious techniques and got crap times.. so 4K and sidestepped the clutch - 12.8 voila
its my starts that kill my times..
top speed run was SO close to getting in the top list.. 143.9mph
..and standard UK 2Litre block* too
AND i didnt break the car Im chuffed to bits...
*..and some other mods- but couple more things to come. must get into low 12's

Photos up on my website from today, think I got most, if not all of the competitors either from a side view or rear. Apologies to anyone I missed. Some photos in the members gallery forum if you want a taster.

Next year with a few miles on the clock I will give it a go - but will need to take both child seats out!

My little economy tuned 200SX did better than i expected on its 205/55x16 economy tyres. Traction, what's that?
1/4 13.70 @ 97MPH and a top speed of 147.2 MPH
Great to see so many people there.

Some pics of the final 8
(not in order & I'm missing someone other than David)
I'm sorry about the pictures - I had wanted to get more up but in between runs there wasn't really time to muck about & its a bid fidly atm Biggest pain is the fact that I want to take pics in landscape but they would turn up on SN on their side in portrait Need to work that out...
Also
Tried to get some video up but it wouldn't have it
Anyone able to do anything with this? MP4 format. It may be cr@p but someone might make it better. It's David's STi "ticking over"...

As for myself? Bit disappointed
I could not get my starts sorted out properly, from mad spinning of wheels, burning of clutch to major bogging Plus it was really hot which I'm sure affected ALL competitors & their times.
Only started to get better after I had my first cheeseburger of the day (around 14:00) & my very last qualifying run of the day was my best with a 13.40@99 60ft of 1.975 so could do with some improvement there, though my best 60ft was 1.914. Still quite far off ScoobySi & the CRD 1.6 odd though...
But it's an impovement over my previous best of 13.5, so thats a GOOD THING
Excellent day & a large thanks to Peccy and Chris for all their organisation
I'll be posting the final qualifying times in a while.

Thanks for joining me on the way up there Puff could'nt have gone that scenic route without you.
I was gutted with my results, I'm usually always around the 13.00 mark (without NOS) I still don't know what I was doing wrong, It felt quick but it must just be cos its been off the road for 3 months.
I heard the same about the CRD Sti running a standard UK box/diffs. That explains why mine held out at 450bhp
My pics of the day can be found here..... http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/phpBB2/m...view_album.php
