What was going on after (extremely impressive ) burnout Mickey? If I remember correctly, you just went off down the strip, and the commentator passed some comment about the run counting for nothing!!!!

Was it just a treat for us who were watching? If so, cheers!

First of all. George Smith - well done mate, fcking fast, only cos you were wearing my lucky helmet ! Hope the luck rubs off onto my head now !!!!!

To all you other drivers out there I think you all did well. I thought my cutch was bad until I smelt some of yours !!!

My times: 12.89 1/4mile and 147mph over 1.25 miles and 0-60ft 1.709
I was pleased as it was my first time at the shootout.

It was great to meet all you guys, can't put names to faces, but its good to get help and advice about mods and thanks to all you guys that came over and said hello and thanks to the organisers for a great day out.

if any of you see me at Santa Pod or any other event please come over and say hello and tell me what you've done to your car.

Was fairly busy early on as every time I used the nitrous, the O2 dropped through the floor and the car spluttered and died. Spent ages chasing problems, but got nowhere. Basically all the kit in the back of the car did, was slow me down all day!!!!

Any of you lot going to TOTB, JAE or JAPS? If so I'll catch up with you there as I'll not be running TOTB, and I don't do polishing at shows!!!!

Homer,

Check your fuel pump/system is up to the job, sounds like it's falling off when the extra demand for the N20 is made.

Chiark - I didn't realise you were there! Me and Bob were stood under Tom's posh marquee for quite a while chatting to Rich & Mel, you were probably there at the time, lol. It was lovely to see all the old faces again (especially Felly for the look on your face when I bought you up to date with my goss ) and meet some new faces, Simon (DreamWeaver), Steve F's lovely wife and daughter and finally to put faces to names such as Maffa, Dyney, Lizzie and all the other peeps I've forgotten

Cheers Pavlo, the nitrous is fuelled with propane from it's own cylinder, so when we suspected this, we changed the source back to petrol and altered the jetting to suit. The petrol is running an uprated fuel pump, so should be more than enough to handle the demand.

The annoying thing is, eveything we set-up on the day, has worked in the past, so it is something common to all cases????

Flat4 - I won't be racing at TOTB either, as I've pulled out due to crap results on Monday!!!! Would rather a newcomer to the GTOUK club gets to race a car with proven times.

Aaah, that would have been your silver 3000gto then? I think I spanked that on one of my runs, but to be honest I never took notice of who was next to me at any time!
