If your going to buy a watch make sure you don't get an 800 quid quartz watch like some people have done, and then spend thursday night wearing a casio watch as the battery is flat on their £800 watch.

@yoza
A few links to some sites that sell watches would be nice with recommendations on how "negotiable" they are on the prices and if they will mark packages as "gifts" if they are coming into the country. i refuse to pay £3k for a cosmonaute!!
cheers

Quite fancy a Navitimer next.
Probably the Olympus, but the Navitimer World would also be cool (if I was built like the Hulk)...

I havent seen the clasp or the back, and I can see 4 faults just from that snap.
The watch you have photographed is a replica, if you have bought it in good faith I suggest you take it back. If you know its fake, good luck to you.
Bezel, cyclops, markers, print........

Read your PM.
Ive been wrong before on a photograph, but never when handling a watch.
If YOU payed £4000+ from a reputable dealer then YOU know Im wrong..
If I was buying this watch I would have to ask for better pictures, with boxes, papers, original receipt, and credit card authenticity.
But basically you have nothing to prove, unless you want to prove me wrong.
Its been done before, on this forum.....and with my favourite brand, a Breitling, it was a special, limited edition, short run watch, so I was pardoned.....

I have a B-1 and a Chrono Avenger (which more or less the same as the Super Avenger, only not as large.)
One thing to consider here is the large size of these watches.
The B-1 and B-2 are built on the same(-ish) case:
B-1 43.2mm diameter, 16.5mm thick.
B-2 43.2mm diameter, 15.0 thick.
The Super Avenger is massive at 48.4mm diameter, 18.6mm thick.
(My Chrono Avenger is 44.0mm diameter, 17.6mm thick and is more comparible in size to the B-1 and B-2.)
You'd be surprised what a difference a few mm in watch sizes make to how it suits your wrist, so it's really worth checking these out at a dealer first before buying.
Another consideration, appearance wise, is the materials used (assuming you're not after a gold version):
B-1 - polished steel - very shiney (maybe a little "bling" for some tastes, but I like it )
B-2 - brushed steel (I think) - a bit more subtle.
CA - titanium - nice for that rugged appearance.
SA - polished steel (I think)
Again, viewing these in person is the best way to decide.
You may also want to think about whether you want an automatic or a quartz.
From the above choices, the B-1 is the only quartz watch.
For some, this makes the B-1 an expensive watch as it's "only" a quartz.
I still think the B-1 is fabulous, and probably the most complete tool watch out of all of these, but the automatics do have a bit more soul if you're into that sort of thing.
If you do choose the B-1, and you're buying new, make sure you're buying the "SuperQuartz" version, which has been out now for nearly a year now.
The older B-1 "normal" quartz (like mine - bought before SuperQuartz was available) is typically much more accurate in timekeeping than any of the automatics.
The newer SuperQuartz version is supposed to be 10 times more accurate still.
With the B-1, the way to tell the difference between a current SuperQuartz model and an older ordinary Quartz model is by checking the serial number on the back:
A68XXXX Quartz
A78XXXX SuperQuartz
Also, as a quick check, the SuperQuartz should say "Chronometre B-1" on the face, whereas the older quartz model will only say "B-1".
(There may be variations on this, so check the serial number to be sure.)
Anyway, the point is if you're offered a "new old stock" non-SQ B-1 and choose to buy it (still a great watch ) make sure the price you pay reflects that it's not the currect much more accurate model!
Incidentally, don't let the dial markings confuse. All Breitlings made from 2000 onwards are COSC certified, and are therefore "Chronometres" whether or not it says so on the dial and whether they're Automatics, Quartzs or SuperQuartzs.
(I think the third character in the serial being "3" signifies Chronometre status.)
I've no experience with the B-2, and personally find the face just a bit too "busy" for my liking, but it's still a fine watch.
Good luck!
Rich

I've got a seamaster professional at the moment and love it, why would you want to change it?
