your not doing so well
though you said you could pick them up easy
there is still a value on these cars in japan they dont just give them away
then with the huge expense of container shipping as roro is all but unobtainable
the price to bring a car in thats usable will be getting over 4k then you have to price to fix any problems
to be honest i think youll be lucky to find someone willing to give there car away
a good tidy early ra will bring 5k all day long

dunno that i said easy, but time is the factor here bud. i have been told they go for about 2k in japanese yen over there, then add the tax and stuff onto that and you CAN get them for 3k. i don't expect it to land on my lap, but at least i'll still try.
have a look here for prices of cars....
www.carex-japan.com
no sccobs cheap enough just now, but keep your eye on it and you'll be amazed

ok 2k in jap yen
plus shipping container £920
plus import duty 10%
plus vat on the lot
i get it to 3770 roughly not including picking the car up from the docks all the messing about fixing any stuff thats bolloxed-- its a gamble would you gamble with no profit margin to pull you outa the ****
plus the mot & tax to get it on the road speedo converter fuel neck ristrictor foglight
and thats only on a older car that doesnt need sva testing
on anything less than ten years old forget it TOOO much hassle
and the esva test hahahaha ive just had to pay 450 for a cat conversion for my partners new car (mitsu evo 6) just to get it through the esva the cat is longer than even the uk spec cars!!!!!!
like i said theres more to it than meets the eye

dood
i'm trying that too just waitin for the right one, but there isn't many about at all at the moment. i never planned to pay a dealer to do it for me anyways. obviously they have to make a profit, so i'm losing out there, which i didn't want to do. have looked at many ways to get one and this wanted thread is another way. not fussed if i don't get one through posting up here, but figured if someone on here maybe knew someone selling what i'm looking for, at least he know's, i'm STILL looking for one!
