I would like to thank everybody who turned up and supported us today, even in the rain Hope everyone enjoyed the meal - good job we didn't get the BBQ
Special thanks to Tiny, Karen & Courtney for once again excelling themselves with rattling the bucket (we thought a bucket would be better for you this time )
Also thanks to Keith (no bars krud) for waiting patiently for us to arrive at the meeting point arranged - it couldn't have been easy standing there in that wig
And thsnk you to everyone who has donated money to the fund, we haven't counted it yet - could people please get their sponsor forms & money in as soon as poss please so we can get a grand total

Well Where Do I Start, Have Real Mixed Feeling's Regarding this Day

Never Been Lost So Many times in My Life, & I do not Do lost!! Sorry If We ( Karen & I) Offened anyone By Keep Stopping To Collect Money From The Public, I Was under the Impression that this was what the Day Was all About , It's Seem's tho that for SOME People The Whole idea of the Day Was to Get To A-B The fastest!!

Not really a Good idea whilst all Driving in Convoy with Charity Poster's all over there car's, Does not really set a great Example Does It ??

And as For the Comment's Some of the Essex Crew Were greeted with as We Finally Got to Folkstone Was Bang out of Order!!

Ater Driving 150 Miles then to Be Told '' IF THE ESSEX LOT WERE TO DRIVE FASTER PERHAPS THEY WOULD NOT KEEP GETTING LOST & BE ABLE TO KEEP UP'' Sorry but really no need for Such Comment's, This was Not the Only Comment Made throughout the Day

Regarding the Gangsta Incident The Lad is Driving on his Own With No 2 Way Radio, So really to be able to read Direction's is not that easy, It seemed that were i was Looking that it was a Last Minute Exit out of the Tunnel Between Lorries To Get to the Exit Slip.. I stand to be Corrected??........

Big Up's Tho to Lee & Pele For Organising what was not an easy Route, & As for the Dinner Well what can i say

Also Must Make a Special Thankyou To Joe ( Numpty ) Silver Classic WRX , Who throughout the day Kept Waiting & Returning to Find us when we lost on Numerous Occasion's You really are a Star M8

Thumbs up

Indeed Numpty save me a few times aswell!

I was behind Gansta and also would of missed the turning had I not seen a scooby behind me turning off, only then I only JUST made it.

I then spent some time collecting money, and after that the only other scooby in sight was Tiny!

Nice meal, and many Thanks to Pele & Lee for organising it.

Pele

Standing around in the blue wig.......that's no problem at all. People don't even notice.

But when I put on the yellow one!!!!!

Great to have been a very small part of it.

For this and other reasons I will not be doing anything like this again, as it looks bad on myself & Lee, playful banter went a bit too far and some people unfortunately don't know when to keep their mouths shut - I apologise for any comments made. When we did the route, we had anticipated being back at The Wharf for 5pm, but due to bad weather and not allowing enough time for the meal, things ran over time and tempers got a bit frayed. We had also thought about people getting lost, hence why we always waited whenever we got split up and sent someone back to find people. I had also told people when we were leaving the hotel that the next part of the journey would have quite a lot of fast roads, and that we would be going a bit faster until we reached the next part of the stop to try and make up a bit of time, but in the end it had the adverse effect, so not really sure what the answer there would be - perhaps a police escort lol

....and at the end of the day, we still acheived what we set out to do, which was raise money - ok if the weather had been a bit better, there might have been a few more people around and we might have got a bit more money, but every penny counts not matter how small. The look on Jakes face when he saw all the cars and people made my day, as did being a part of this

Cool Oh well

Well what can be said to add to this..........

Any comments made were in Jest and if anybody got offended then im sorry but in my defence "TINY" does stop every five minutes to clean his car .....

Am i wrong !!!???

also if we really want to take digs at each other why make comment like " Pele tell tony to come over here so i can tell him im cleaning my car , that will wind him up !!!! , just because i did not speak on the radio dont mean I aint got one !!!....

As for driving fast, we never drove fast we had a few spirited runs but nothing compared to our normal driving and i personnally think it is better to be faster between towns and then spend more time in the centre of the town where the people are !!!!!

I agree that some of the route was a knightmare to navigate and for that we owe every one a big Sorry

But in the end we all got there in one peice and although the weather was crap and the locals were in hiding we still did what we set out to do !!

So a big shout goes out to all who attended and especially to the two lads from Scoobycity who i beleive covered over 400+ miles, we thank you for your support and hopefully will return the favour sometime.

The only thing to really say is well done to Pele who spent a lot of time and effort planning ,driving the route and getting us all in one place together for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!
