Hey simb - are those tyres 35s ? I was considering going for 18" rims + 35 profiles but I've heard it really hurts the ride quality. How have you found it & were you on 17's or 16's before ?

Cheers,

Andy.

Hi mate, I was running 17's before, the ride from what I have experienced so far is the same, sharper handling aswell. They are 35's.

I will add that Wheelbase did a great job handling my order, they were all delivered shrink wrapped with wheel cardboard protectors. There were no marks on the wheels at all....believe me, I checked. They also sent me a set of bolts and locking wheel nuts for nothing

Thanks again Hoskib!!

gorgeous wheels - I fancied some in titanium when I saw them in a dealers the other day, but they were too expensive at the time. Until I saw your price - very good package deal.

I'd assumed they were only available from Subaru dealers, being a prodrive part. Clearly not

enjoy

I'm getting 15% off at my dealer, but they seem to be having trouble getting a Silver set of these.

Wheelbase don't list the PWRC-1 on their site. I suppose it may be worth me giving them a call, as I've been waiting 3 weeks for the dealer to get them in.

Fella's,

Thought I'd put a post in to say that I was inspired to order a set of gold 18" O.Z wrc-1's from Wheelbase yesterday after reading this thread.

A set of decent alloys has been a long time coming because I'm a fussy pelican but at £1175 these had to be done! They're being delivered today so I shall be savouring the harsh ride, arch rubbing & girlie passenger tit wobbling delights like the rest of the 18" wheel gang later today all being well!

Cheers,

Bob

Just called 'WheelBase', they only have Gold. So I'll just have to keep waiting for my Dealer to get some.

Glad to hear it mate, its good that this thread is doing some good and saving money for other's. I was shocked at what other companies were charging, some not short of 2 grand. Other's could'nt get them in for six months!!

Scott - Hope you get yours soon mate, no chance your settle for gold then?

Was going to get Gold as part of the Group buy, but an interim fit of Gold 17 inch ST2's helped me decide against it.
I just feel that Gold against Royal Silver is a bit of a contrast.

They are not that dark, I was expecting them to be alot darker than they are, so there may not be that much of a contrast.

Try Justin at www.rare-rims.com, if the WRC-1 is the 10 spoke OZ I am thinking of, Rota in the states do a copy called the Tarmac 2, I have some 17's on order (due this/next week) and they work out seriously cheap compared to the real thing. Lots of pics af these wheels on Imprezas on Subydude.com. I can't vouch for the quality, but will know soon enough. They do a few other options in Prodrive styles, whatever colour you wish.

Don't worry about it. There's some old banter about Gold wheels being gay. He's just making a very old joke. What do you expect from a Newbie

Not worried mate, was aware of the 'gold being gay' joke. It just seems a pointless post, which was not in answer or reaction from a previous contribution to this thread.

For Info.....

I have recently got a set of Silver P-WRC's. 1 of which was damaged i.e it had a slight scratch and paint chip between 2 of the spokes.

Subaru agreed to replace it which they have done.
However, the replacement is even worse as it has a 20mm x 10mm flaw in the casting on the edge of one of the spokes. This maybe of been caused by an airpocket of mould problem.

Again Subaru have agreed to replace it, and it should arrive tommorrow.

I take my hat off to Subaru as they have been quick to solve the problem, however it begs a question regarding the Quality control at OZ.

At £275 a pop it's need to be right first time.
