David boost was same as Darren T's, 1.8 bar which is same as I run on the '5 (or did before my latest experiments started). Fuel was equiv. to VPower since thats what it's to be run on in Iceland.

Ten of the Best Team Subaru is open for entries for around another two weeks.
Invitation to enter the team and the principle criteria for selection has been clearly posted on Scoobynet under National events and on 22b.com. At no point has any indication been made that the team has been selected or that entry has been closed.
For anyone who is interested then please feel free to email your entry to totb_scoobies@fsmail.net.
Either way, TOTB TS wishes all entrants the best of luck.

Nice result, can't wait to see how this actually performs on the 1/4 in the UK.
If I'm correct in assuming this car retains a std 6 speed synchro box then a 10 second result will blow some theorys regarding the unsuitability of this box for drag racing !!
I'd like to see it break into the 10's.....but .......
Looking at the spec of power/estimated weight?/torque/gearbox, even although it is running on race fuel, I'm not sure it's going to happen......but I've been wrong before Calders certainly proved high 10's are possible with a full weight 528bhp classic scoob on a std UK 5sp box

I think the 6 speed is fine, although i am tempted to whack in the 5 speed again , its just mine has a tad short ratios for top speed runs.
For an 03 car to be running those times is superb, given the weight disadvantage.
Yet another interesting car i would like to see.

What is happening to Harveys car at the mo? and what state of tune is it in? is it the most powerfull in the country still? I seen him and his misses at scooby shoot out 2 but its a shame he was not running that day, is he at totb3? look forward to seeing it go up the strip again.I bet its in the tens this time.

...it must be the NOS cooling on the oil cooler that does it

Some of you guys crack me up. Like George Smith said, "some of them have more faces than the town hall clock"
The Calder car was last rolling roaded at Thor at 528 bhp but a lot of work has been done since and Calder recon it is around the 600 bhp mark now. They were mapping extensively, yesterday and today and another R.R. run will take place soon.
Green Scooby: I took the engine out of the STi Wagon at the end of April in advance of fitting the new one. A few bits were needed off the old engine and I have been hampered with delays, not of my making. The new Ion turbo came mid May and I have to collect the new engine from RCMS when complete, install and then fabricate up-pipe and down pipe. Capacity is still 2 litres. Target is 600bhp/500ft/lbs. May take until September before completely shaken down and ready to run to full power. 10s would be nice but I will be happy with low 11s.
I was in my WRX Wagon at Scoobyshootout (don't have a wife, introduce yourself next time) and it should be fully sorted and mapped in the next few days. Had problems with surge and BOV both of which I think are sorted but the major delays and frustration was communications between the Link ECU and lap top which was intermitent and unreliable. Think that is sorted now and will know tomorrow. Looking for 12s compared to best last year of 13.99 and will be happy with 400bhp or there abouts.
It was great to see the Calder car break into the 10s and this is a mega achievement. Pity about the reaction it caused from some pundits. Other than that Scooby Shootout was a bit of an anti-climax for me as no other Scooby bettered my last years time despite all the postulating and stories of megga performance. The whole purpose of my new engine was to take on the new generation of 2.3s and 2.5s. but I am sure there is a lot more to come out of some of them.

Thanks for the reply Harvey and good luck with the new engine. Ive got to ask though if the new engine is still 2 litre what can you do with it more that you cant with the old one.Is the old one in for a rebuild and better bits or is it a case of a brand new engine completely? maybe the new sti8/9 engine with upgraded internals as they are better to start off with?

George told me at SSO that the car was 528 bhp. The AVC-R was set at 1.5 bar so on that size of turbo on a 2.2 that's about right.
It may well now be up to 600 bhp but it wasn't then, this is borne out by the terminal speeds which were in line with circa 500bhp. A 600 bhp, 1300kg car (scoob, evo or cossie) will be in the 130+ bracket.
Andy
Hot off the press from CRD post on 22B......
Oh and it is now over 600bhp !!!

16vMarc : 13.99 sec car is / was 95 Wagon with 3" Revolution exhaust, K+N filter, Super Chip, and my home made cold air system. Now has one of Andys turbos, Hybrid Front mount intercooler, Gruppe S headers and uppipe and 550 injectors. Various other bits so hope to be in the 12s.
Green Scooby : Old engine was ODB, new = CDB.
Old = Standard heads, cams, inlet manifold, throttle body and 8.3/8.4 compression.
New = Many changes in these areas, Omega pistons in place of Cosworth, lighter billet crank and so on.
Old = 740 cc maxed out injectors on full power runs.
New = 850 injectors.
New = Bigger Ion turbo and different exhaust system.
Si : Look forward to seeing you just look out for me.
Andy : Both George and Alex said on the day that the car was "pushing 600". Georges mail earlier today says the car only made 495 bhp prior to current alterations and mapping so that would be the power at Scooby Shootout. This looks good for them as there are obviously better times to be had. Tonight George says they got over 600 bhp following an extensive mapping session but they were unhappy with the torque and on the third run they abandoned testing as the gearbox broke.
Hope that sets the record straight.

Should have said in response to Green Scooby that the original engine would be for sale if there was a genuine serious interest. It would be bare of clutch, some ancilliaries and the turbo is going to Canada for overhaul. The engine could be in bits or rebuilt.
Should also have said that Andy F. bettered my winning Scooby Shootout times at TOTB II (held before Scooby Shootout last year) with an 11.66 and 174 mph from memory, so with the exception of the Calder car things have not moved on much in a year.

Bob,
Very impressive result (talking about 518hp... not even thinking about 600 or more).
But when do we get those pics ?
Can't wait to see the beast
