Cool

Does this nugget of information help you decide....................
You can take the roof off the Exige Series 2 and the Elise soft top fits striaght on!!!!!!
Got this off an Exige forum (can't remember which one though).

Apparently Lotus don't like you doing it, but the owners who have done it say it is a straight swap.

So, hardtop track car/winter car and soft top hardcore racer for the summer - perfect. ;-)))

PS The Mini Daddy. Doesn't the mini (Classic) have a Rover engine????

What !!!!!

lol, I dont think Porsche would admit that at all! What make you think that?

Clearly I am biased but its testament to Porsche build quality that my car can still take the abuse thrown at it, and match the performance of cars 14 years newer!

OK - maybe I was being a little harsh, but in comparison to the 968CS, which is an all time great car, I know which one I would rather have!

...and can I add the 968 shares the same chassis with the 944 - although it does have inferior brakes.

The 968 CS is a good car, but if it does not have the M030 suspension and brakes, it aint the car the magazines go on about....

Its only one of the all time greats if it has M030, LSD, and the buckets seats IMO.

Unfortunately most dont.

You can retro fit the 968CS M030 suspension on the 944 turbo too, although I went for Leda as it's a little better (and cheaper), although I am getting the 968CS M030 ARB's.

I would px my car for one, but it would have to be a speed yellow onw, with all of the above and colour coded wheels - but why would I want a slower car

Wasn't the 968 introduced to address the some of the shortcomings in the 944 chassis / engine? The CS is pretty extreme too, which I guess makes it a great track day toy, which would be a fair comparison to the Exige. Anyway, we digress, and we're taking this thread off track, but I take your point.

As I've driven a lotus and own a scooby I can c that a lotus on a track would be alot of fun.I love RWD,it's a very driffernt driving style and I love all the oversteer as opposed to the scooby understeer. But as a daily driver I"ll stick with my scooby.
After a couple hours in a lotus my **** was numb and I had sore legs from braking(no servo).
I would have to add a comment, for under £25,000 you could also own a honda S2000 or a NSX.OK S2000 only 240 BHP,but I had so much fun in one that I seriously advise a test drive if ur thinking of a change.Sounds great between5000- 9000rpm and they've never had an engine go wrong, ever!!Plus they seem to go forever on one tank of gas, unlike my scooby.(OK I admit I want that red "Start Engine" button too/fastest soft top in the world also........BMW seem to have overseen that fact when they boasted of it)
