Going to the pub does not necessarily equate to being 'trolleyed up on beer' particularly if you're drinking coke.
We would like to do a PPP for the normally aspirated cars but once again it comes down to economics. Whatever we do is not going to match the £/hp increment you would have by just changing to a Turbo. The gains from a normally aspirated car are never as easy or cheap as a turbo car and it costs as much to do the development etc.

and yes, this does tend to explain a few things (one being the requirement to drive everywhere sideways at high speed.....)

I know there is just not the market for sport upgrades, when the obvious upgrade would be a turbo. Although I have been told there is a company doing a chip for the sport which can bring it up to 150BHP, seam to only ever get their answer phone. Must leave a message someday.

We've done some work already and the two cars we've tested gave good results with a silencer change (over 140bhp at PE) but not much more if you started to remove cats etc. Getting into the ECU will cost a relatively large amount of money, at least as much as doing the same for a WRX or STi and the relative volumes would be tiny.
