That was very annoying at the Shootout, went on for about 10 minutes as well. Had about a 10" exhaust

So, because people were not worshipping your car, they are not enthusiasts?! Oh please!

As far as I was aware this was a meeting for all Subaru's to be shown but perhaps we should have a section next year for those 'special' editions such as yours.

For the record I have probably spent more than the majority of people of my car but would certainly not have it singled out as a 'prime' example and I do consider myself an enthusiast to the core - although even I would struggle to tell all the different types of Subaru apart now seen as there are so many variations.

On another note, the dump valve war really pi$$ed me off - not as though anyone in the field didn't know what a Subaru or a VTA sounds like!

Have not heard anything about RB5 caps being stolen (my car was on that stand) but if you are responsible then I hope your privates rot!

<Rant mode on>

Tony - TBH i DID notice your car but if your having a rant over why people didnt then you seriously are a self centred barsteward, i was there with my family & to be honest i had a great day but with comments like yours I wont be attending next years event

As for the D/V, some of these guys wanted to test out the new equipment so leave them alone

Donuts, didnt see any as i was in the theme park with my family but whoever you are there is a time & a place for that & the NBO isnt one of them

Hardcore, i drove all the way from m/well(scotland) along with another 6 scoobs that were there to enjoy the day !!

<Rant mode off>

Ps since when did the NBO become an Enthusiast only event ?

get a grip

Ah one of those who wouldnt have noticed what a Spec C was
Nor an S202
WR1
V Ltd(s) in various forms
22B Type UK
22B JDM (note there is a difference between the 2 )

The point im getting at, and im not saying "oh look at my car" but people should if they are enthusiasts, atleast know what one is (and most didnt) and i bet most people walked passed the S202 thinking what a funny spoiler, i prefer the f*** off big one on my car though
There were some stunning and very rare scoobs there, next time open your eyes rather than going round blinkered

Tony :-

Noticed your car (as I did with several other Spec-C's and the S202) but didnt feel the particular need to come over and say "hey you've got a spec-c" 'cos I kind of felt that you would already know

just because people didnt come over and say hi or comment doesnt mean that they didnt know what it was. And as for those that didnt know, well the NBO is a very public event and is often the only meet/event that a scooby owner might attend (several people I spoke to were very new to the Subaru experience and had only had the car a short while so I very much doubt they would be expected to know all the exotics). also you are bound to have a fair few people wandering over who were just at the park and wanted to see all the fuss.

re: the showoffs, yeah its perfectly normal to say test a new DV or exhaust but some people did take it to extremes but on the whole I felt the day was a success, loadsa dosh raised for a very worthwhile charity and most people had a very good time. I say big congrats to Lordharding and his crew for putting on another fantastic day

PS: Really sorry to hear that some stuff was stolen tho, never what you want to hear

I saw lots of Subaru's there, dont ask me what any of them were tho

I actually thought it was a farmers convention at first, all them subarus in a field n all

I believe Rich Wild was letting kids take it in turns to rev his car (dont see anyone complaining about that)

It was the silver UK300 that was the pain (demostrating might be one thing - but for 10 minutes????) - I thought it was great that Rich W. was letting kids take turns rev his car!

Karak is right, I could distinguish between every model there near enough but why bother? I was happy just chilling out and walking around.

As for "enthusiast" how do you class that? I have been into Scoob's since 94/95 now and people used to laugh at me whilst they were tuning their XR3is and RS Turbos cos I liked a farmers car But..I have never owned one.

Just because I dont go up to the owners of the rare versions and kiss there **** doesnt mean i'm not interested.

Seen one Spec C seen em all

Tony, im not a Subaru owner but made the trip up with a mate in his scooby sport...

I noticed all the models u mentioned

Your STi8 Spec C (Was that MH03***?) the roof vent gave it away to me

The WR1

22B Jap and 22B Type Uk - i know the difference is the front, the JDM doesnt have the driving lights

I noticed the blue bugeye S202 aswell

And the V Ltds too, coz they have the roof vent dont they??

So i wouldnt say your car went un-noticed mate, i bet a lot of people knew what it was, but didnt feel the need to come over and mention it!

some of us are too busy working on the important oily bit and not interested in parking up in a field comparing lexus lights and big zorsts...

Seriously tho.. my car looks pretty crap from the outside

Mild steel headers & downpipe = not very shiny, but nice and big
p1 wheels that were gold, so painted them some colour (dunno what, silver and black mixed together )
facelifted front end..
bit lower than std.. and a few choice stickers..
