Oh dear. You really do have your head up your own **** don't you Tony. Maybe we should get you a t-shirt printed up that says 'I own a Spec C..... please form a que to kiss my shoes.' How do you know most people didn't notice (god forbid!) that your car is a Spec C, can you tell by their reaction? 99% of people would just take a look and move on. They wouldn't take the time to bow at your car's splendor and shout all their mates over.
You really do sound like somebody who feels the need to tell everybody about your car, i've lost count of the number of threads i've read where you tell everybody what car you have. Boring, very boring .
Tony.

So why didn't someone tell this 'errant Subaru enthusiast' with the noisy dump valve to SHUT THE **** UP!!....if you put a foot wrong on this message board then usually people are queing up to jump down your throat....perhaps a few marshalls should be employed for an event of this size next year?

Oh where should i start.
Right, TBH, Rashers S202 should have been on a stand, there are what, less than 10 in the country? and i doubt many people noticed it (an S201 would be nice but im not sure if there are any over here?)
These are rare cars and yes they should be looked over/looked at due to them being special, the same with the Spec C's, the 22B's, the P1's, the V ltds of varying versions, there are so many different models and some are very rare, but people dont know what they are because the simple fact is they dont want to know, the car was bought for the simple reason that its fast, fact, this is the point im trying to make Tony, if you can get your head out of your own **** as you kindly put it, try looking a bit deeper, over 450 cars there and probably for most the chance to look around the different models, for some, yes for others....
You make your own mind up but i do hope your not one of the others.

With self-centred plónkers like you Tony Burns present, I'm not surprised in the least that nobody wanted to approach your car, they saw you with it!!
It's a Subaru, whatever numbers/letters you give it.
Are you sure you aren't on a retainer for Mitsubishi?
If not you should be! What better way to drive punters to an Evo than an irritating Impreza owner like yourself.
Dear dear, you're not an only child by any chance?

Well if what looks like a majority of you lot seem to have forgotten what a scoob owner is, not just a steriotype(sp?) which some of you have become...
There is more to just scoob ownership (or there use to be anyway ) than just owning a scoob (which not alot of people understand) and wanting to know more about the cars that have been produced than just getting an exhaust or filter to make your car faster.....

Brilliant day and very well organised, too My only regret is that I didn't put my hand up and claim my prize when I saw the Spec C's and S202 (which was also there last year) but I didn't know that I was supposed to I've never seen so many 22b's at once either. Did anybody notice my 98UK Turbo with decorative squashed flies?

Just to say I had a great day at the NBO... Felt a bit daft walking around on my Jack Jones as my wife was busy and no one else wanted to go!!
However, for the record I appreciated all the other scoobies but I still got more of a buzz from just jumping in my Bogstandard MY00 Turbo and enjoying the drive home.
And as for rarety, I can honestly say I didn't see one other bogstandard scoob. Some may say they are boring but in 10 years time most will have been F**ked about with.
For the record my favourite Scoob was the White Type R on the motorsport stand
Live & Let live - life is too short to worry about who's is best / Who,s is biggest.

Hi
I had a great family day out, which is what I thought this meet was about. I am slowly learning all the scooby varients, and had a great time going round with my wife and kids looking at all the cars.
I am a true car enthusiast, I set up the R5 GT Owners club, have owned numerous cossies etc....
I heard some people in the normal carpark on about the (idiot car fanatics) aimed at us lot with scoobys.
If we slate each other about not knowing enough about our cars, then how can we ever expect other people to understand why we do what we do.
Most owners only learn by talking to other owners.
People slagging off people about not knowing the cars, will kill events like the NBO, because the family day its aimed at will be sidelined.
You can mix enthusiasm and a day to introduce family and friends to your interests without slagging them off.

tony burns get off you high horse FFS. so youve got a spec c, so what, big deal. we are all subaru owners, just that some of us have got bigger bank balances than others, and cant afford the holy SPEC C.
I hope that you will still attend next year, just so that EVERYONE can ignore your fecking car.
i can just see it now, you will see everyone walking past saying" there is that ****, TONY BURN'S car, look the other way and see how pi$$ed off we can get him"

Asfor my personal fave it was the 3 door Type R in blue with the 5 double-spoked wheels - amazing motor!! Can just see the front of it in this pic - http://forums.sidc.co.uk/attachments//NBO_CNV00010.jpg

My Family had a great day out (old git me, wifey , 8 year old son and 6 year old princess), 20 mins in the field and loads of time with the kids doing the rides at the park! Met loads of very nice people, bought a set of cheap flaps from Stan Palmers..........Brilliant !!
OK, my car was on the Cumbrianscoobs.co.uk stand as an example of a "bugeye" and what can be done to tart the car up and still be used as a daily driver (the child seats were in the boot)... It will never be a dragstrip killer.... but might make people think who have a standard car to join a local scooby club, get involved, meet a great bunch of people and have a load of fun !!
Sure, I recognised the S202, 22b , white STi Ver VI WRC (Greasemonkey help me please ) on the Roger Clark Motorsport stand etc but does that make me a better person??????

Well what an absolute fabulous event and as Lordharding mentioned you will always get the 1% whether it being the idiot doughnutters or the noisy dumpvalvers or the person with the rare car that gets upset at people not worshipping (Noticing it even) his car. Or even knowing or caring about what it is. Tony If you feel that strongly about people not knowing what sort of car you got maybe you should of kept your bank manager more happy and bought a WRX instead.
I also think that It was maybe my graphics that upset the infamous Tony, so appologies to every enthusiast that my graphics distracted. You must concentrate harder on the hardcore scooby owners and worship at the chapel of Scooby Ownership.
Please recite the following Subaru Prayer.
Our Father who aint in Tonys car
Spec C be thy Name
Thy Kingdom come
STI will be done
On Earth as it is in Japan
Give us This Day our NBO
And forgive our Enthusiasts
As we forgive those who enthuse against us
and lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from EVO
For thine is the gearstick, the steering wheel and the pedals
forever and ever
SUBARU
Thanks STI 04 for the mention. Your motor was fantastic aswell.
Come on guys the whole point of the day was to raise funds for Cancer research who cares what people know if they are willing to support us and the Charity then let bygones be bygones and let the everyday owners become part of the Subaru Family.

My kids loved the way the dragon changed from yellow to blue
Now I just have to explain that it won't look as good on a 4 door !!
Midlife.....
Faster / Dream Weaver... How about the Mille Miglia (spelling) wheels on Dion's car.
