CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But hey ,even taking into account purchase of car or cars ,it is obvious we get so much pleasure out of them, thats why we do it.I estimate ive spent including buying the car and any mods I have done, dont forget interest on bank loans etc, somewhere near £1ook in all.Now this is since I was 17 and I am now 35.MK 2 Escorts,xr3I,Ren 5 turbo, cosworth,(yeh i have had some shat as well)and two Scoobs.
You probably have done the same or more if your of similar age.
Yes we could have spent it on something else ,possibly more sensible, but it is your lifestyle and everything.

It has got to be better than collecting stamps for pleasure. No offence to phillaterist or whatever they are called.

So keep on spending fellas /ladies this is not a rehearsal.Enjoy.
Apologies for going on a bit.

Can't argue with that !

- Also - don't know if you need to be 30 for L+V insurance - I'm 35, so didn't ask

Never work it out, add up what the enjoyment of owning and driving it is worth instead!

I'm still paying for it mate and having to drive around in a 1.8 focus zetec proves that

The true cost of scooby ownership (if you drive it hard for pleasure) is frightening

Edcase, Fantastic m8.A credit to you.
Cheers, it was great fun, a tremendous learning experience and I've met some true friends for life, but I think my next car will be something that doesn't need that level of modification

Drove it like he stole it more like

If you're near Edinburgh and a Focus comes at you sideways around a bend, you'll know who's behind the wheel.

Pathetic......... valiant attempt by Mr Wallis - does the £30k include the cost of the car though.....either way I win

I'm touching the £70k bracket.................

This includes the cost of the car (circa £25k), all costs to date since ownership excluding petrol (and petrol derivatives) being insurance, parts changes...... I was at the early end when people knew **** all about the Scoob and there were a lot of changes... or were unwilling to attempt new things (did anyone say nitrous) - this has hindered progress to a huge extent...but hey-ho - I think the Cossie boys (and I spent a fortune their as well) were more prepared to take risks into the unknown....something which has only really materialised on the Scoob scene in the last 12months.... (excluding a few - e.g. Christian R, Mark Aigin........)

I did do a list of these - cos I'm sad....... I cried the most when I saw how much I'd wasted on stereo gear and related costs.... it was more than most have spent on all their mods............

I have owned the car since new as well..... only driven a few faster cars..... very few indeed......neighbour sold his TVR after a test drive in mine.......

Yeah I'm waffling - back to the match

LOL, that was fun That night was the first time I really gave the car some real stick in it's current state of tune, after leaving the downs we all headed for the motorway for a bit of fun, my car was off the clock at 160+ playing with my mate's 386bhp supra, and there was hardly anything in it

Not that I'm condoning such behaviour......................................... ...

Very possibly. I often hear a bloody loud scoob go past the house but always too slow to catch it from the window. PM me.

LOL, that was fun
I was busy flying a kite after just pummeling around the woods over at ashton court on me bike. I was going to walk over and say hi but my legs wouldn't carry me
