Exacly my point, you find it faster, I found it much slower......

I think renault must've run out of 172 engines, and stuck the 3.0 v6 in in a few of them

davyboy I dont know where you got your 18 secs to 100 time from in evo looking in the back I think it says the classic is 14.7 secs to 100 offically timed!

I agree the Clio is fast and probably feels faster but it would never win in a race on or off the track.

It's a hot hatch FWD not a 4WD Turbo at the end of the day

I agree with WB. I went from a MY98 to a MY01. At first I was dissapointed.. The car "appeared" to lack that kick in the back that I so enjoyed with the My98. However after pitting it against my mates My99 I realliesed what was actually happening. The car is a lot, and I mean a lot, smoother in it's power delivery. Yes it was different to drive but just as pleasing. Less road noise, more comfort, less plastic bits rattling and falling off, less metal to cut yourself on when doing bits and bobs overall I made the right choice after doing bits and bobs to it the car is REALLY nice to drive. I said at the time I would never go back and I still of that oppinion. However there is always something to look forward too
