Mmmm not sure if I'd buy another - I loved mine, and do miss that engine. Maybe if they drop in price a little more I'd get another as a 2nd/track car.

How are you managing to get 230miles per tank?

Not sure, think the carpets jammed under the loud pedal

I do give it some wherever possible, so quite pleased with the MPG, which was the main aim of selling the STi.

I know of so many ITR's that have had syncro's (3rd, 4th, 5th) go costing £600+ inc fitting, mine went in my EK9 after 48000 miles 3rd & 4th, noiset since 18000 miles essentially the same box just different ratios.

Virtually every owner I have met has had syncro issues, my brothers completely went at 18000 miles.

I would say that aint good, at least the Elise parts are cheap.

I wouldnt say it is prehistoric either, the chassis is arguable the best to date!!!

I meant the throttle, brake, clutch system.

My snchro seems fine, and reverse is no problems.

Don't get me wrong I love the DC2, and from my experince as expensive to run as an Elise if not more, Im actually looking for one at present, for a sensible car for Lou to learn to drive in.

Reverse isnt a problem.

How many miles has your car done?

If you drive the DC2 to the limit in 3rd and ****** 4th very quickly, or 4th into 5th you can hear a slightly crunchy noise if you can hear that the syncro will go.

AFAIK there is no set time for them to start making a noise, and a lot of it will be to do with the driver, my brothers started crunching again after 40000miles.

I think the EP3's and DC5's have better syncros, althou Ive heard of them crunching.
