I'd love a pond mate with carp in, think they are great. Despite what Deano and others think, carp anglers actually like carp and do not want to harm them. I lost out on a house I was buying that had a carp pond and I was gutted just because the pond was so ![Cool](images/smilies/cool.gif)
Carp are incredibly clever which is why they are so hard to catch but if kept as garden pets they are also easy to make very tame
Fascinating creatures

Guys,
I'm an exEssex lad who's been living down under for the past 5 years and I really miss my carp fishing. It's just not the same here...carp are a complete pest out here. Anyway, I'm coming back for a holiday in the next few weeks and can't wait to cast a line. I used to fish local waters like Jimmi's, Cobblers Mead and Standford-Le-Hopes Leisure Sports. Can anyone reccomend a good day ticket water that allows night fishing and a good bait (Activ 8's were all the rage when I left). I'm only fishing for 2 nights and want to catch a few fish.

I used to be really into carp fishing, but it got too popular around here ![Frown](images/smilies/frown.gif)
Some days the ponds would be so packed with anglers that there rods would cross over each other with subsequent alcohol induced brawls![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I decided to try some proper
fishing away from the masses. You can't beat sitting on a quiet riverbank on a beautiful summer’s day ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
This is a bedraggled me with a 4lb 2oz perch.

Takes me back a few years ago when fishing for Carp at my old waters. Bringing in the bait for a re-cast when all hell let loose. A pike went for the corn laced hair rig or the lead and before you know a nice 11lb Pike in the net.

Thanks, yeah it does have its own website but its down. Looks like they haven't paid their account from the message I got last night when trying to access it - says a lot about the place lol. I tried ringing the number and the bloke refuses to take with held numbers which I can't help calling from work so all sounds a bit of a ****e business setup if you ask me - bloody norvern monkeys
