Exactly!! Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Lambourghini, Aston Martin....their technical people all need sacking!! Fancy making such expensive cars and giving them RWD. They obviously haven't got a clue about handling have they.
How silly of them all.

Wonderful cars, but then I am biased as I have one myself . Unfortunately it rained here a while ago so I darent venture out to get a sarnie until the roads have dried. If only I still had the Impreza...

I owned a mint 944 Turbo and it was fantastic. Owned before by a real Porsche fanatic and plenty of quality extras. Only sold it when kids got too big to fit into back seats. Regretted it ever since. Hard to find good ones left now.
Servicing costs were high but only because I stupidly used main Porsche dealer who treated you like **** as it wasn't a 911.
Would buy another one if I could find a good one or a 968.

Problem with them is the price. I mean for that money, you can get a nice 01 WRX and why on earth would you want a 14 year old car, from one of the worlds most respected manufacturers, instead of that? Not rocket science really is it.

If you gave me the choice of a £10K 944 turbo or a £10K other car it would come down to what I was gonna do with the car. As an everyday driver another car would be the one but as a weekend car you can get alot worse than a 944 for sure.
I had a TVR for 7 years and loved every minute of it .... its the same kind of question really.
You were beating on about NA engines being much better etc at the weekend but if you believed in your car and your driving and followed behind Dave for a lap you would be doing 8.50's the same as him. Dont give me any excuses about leda suspension etc either , i reckon you could do it with what you have already.
One moan though, it sounds ****e.

I'm seriously considering a 968 cs as my next car. I'm chopping in the bugeye for a diesel for work, so I can afford to have something just for weekends and evenings, but nothing too expensive (IE over 15 - 20k) and the 968 cs seems to fit the bill.
Anyone have any comments or should I start my own thread :P

No idea what the liner is, about 330ish I think. Got downpipes and boost controller going on in the next few weeks, so with the other bits I should be knocking on 400bhp

I see what you're saying. Other than massive lag I love it. The one you drove must have been fooocked cos they are quicker than most scoobs.....and scoobs aren't exactly slow.
