at other times its absorbed too fast however, and you're robbing your metabolism the chance to break down real food.
a blend of whey and casein would be ok.. but food is preferable most of the time.

I use Protean powder and Creatine at the moment mainly because i'm training nearly everyday.
Before you all start about over training ,I train different body parts on different days...
Well all except one
Also have a day of just cardio.

Do you have a body fat monitor or a hart rate monitor?

you find that when the heart beat is much too high it dose not allow the body to be in the fat burning mode, and it is harder to loose weight this way. Meaning the body will burn less fat tissue and burn more carbohydrates resulting in little to no weight loss / fat loss.

the old way of thinking that "working at 60% of mhr burns more bodyfat" has never been able to be proven... because it's wrong.
yes, at 60% of mhr you can do cardio for longer, but all that matters is the total number of calories you burn. so just do whatever you want to burn the total number of calories you want to burn - whether that's 30 mins at 60% mhr, or whether it's 10 mins at 90% mhr.
there is research to suggest that at 60-70% mhr you burn more calories from fats (NOT to be confused with stored bodyfat) rather than carbs, BUT that has never correlated to BODYFAT loss.
