I drove a Lister XJS Le Mans with the 7.0 V12 546BHP engine for a week, complete beast and only 20 or so made i think. 5-7mpg i think
Marcos Mantis and Mantarays are absolute dogs to drive and own, they mak eTVRs look well built, although they are quite reliable oddly enough.

ok most cars have been done now so i think the citroen sm(sport maserati)
lovely looking car from the early 70's it had a maserati engine a v6 kicking out 180 bhp had selve levelling headlights......headlights which swivelled with the steering to help you see round corners.......variable power assisted steering....wipers that were sensitive to rain(i thought that meant they didint work when it started to rain lol).....it was the fastest fwd of its time.....
citroen were quite good back then they were bringing out new technology with their funny suspension and gismos and sh*t.
another car would be a suzuki cappuccino ive only seen one of each.

At the PCGB nat day in 2005 there was 12 of them together, most ever since production apparently. And 1 of them had only done 3k miles.

I think a few are getting confused with..
- What your normal jo public isn't aware of
- What us - car enthisiasts are not aware of.
With an understanding of Scoobs, Evos and the like, most of you have heard and know of the Nissan Pulsar GTi-R on here, but I work in the car fleet industry and it still surprises me how many auction/so called car buffins don't know what it is when I tell them I drive one for weekend B road blasts. Most just overlook it as some chav'd up car if they ever do seem one on the road.
Ugly in many eyes (not mine), getting old now (90-94), that "sunny" name, and rare (outside santapod) are the main reasons its unffairly over looked, but with the best TLC (some real tatty ones now) and the correct sensible tuning improvements to bring it up to date (wheels, brakes, whiteline etc) its rather good fun with decent feedback and damn quick along a decent B road
But the real best car no one has heard of...Ultima GTR 720. Tell them its the fastest accelerating car from 0-100-0 and one of your dream cars, and they just look at you confused.

As long as it's a Lotus engined Sunbeam
How about;
Nissan Pulsar
Fiat Uno Turbo
205 with with MI16 engine - can't recall what they were called, but a friend's friend had one. He brought it cheap as insurance was a killer. If still on the road, it had the reg H13 CRY

I'm surprised that not many people have heard of the Mazda 6 MPS. A rare sight on our roads but a great car.
It's a four door saloon with 240bhp, AWD and comfortable seats. Capable of cracking 60mph in around 6 seconds!

Mercedes 190 evolution.
(Not to be confused with the 190 cosworth. The evo is far superior)
My fathers friend had one of these many years ago. Was great fun chasing him to the hotel after a day at the coys auction at Silverstone. We were in a delta evo 2 at the time, was mega fun racing through the twisty B roads.
