This is old news, have talk radio only just caught up?
Maybe the B&B owner is gay and not able to deal with it.

It's almost as if you're implying that refusing "blacks" would be outrageous.

Both are prejudice - plain & simple.
Refusing either is unjustifiable, but i reckon the chances of being prosecuted for doing what he did against a coloured couple would be far higher than if they were gay, that's all....

If the guy refused to put up a male/female couple because he had doubts that they were married and didn't want extramarital sex going on in his house, would there be such an outcry? No.

He can make whatever decisions he likes, regardless of how daft/prejudiced they may be. At the end of the day it's his business that'll suffer.

Maybe there's a market for B&B accomodation un-touched by sexual deviants (assuming that s_AP hasn't snuk in the back door)

Assuming he fit's my previous description he could always be the one to break the mold - but I would have to keep a close eye on him

Apparently the owner has a sign which says "gay men must use the backdoor"

This post seems to be varying between opinion and fact.

People can have the opinion that he was right to do as he did for whatever reason it was.

The fact is however that this sort of thing is governed by anti dicrimination legislation and if he was prepared to stand up in court and say he refused entry on the grounds of their seuality he would be found guilty.

The punishment would be fairly minor I suspect but I don't think there would be any doubt on the outcome

It's not illegal to discriminate based on Sexuality - it is to descrimate based on Sex - There's a big difference between being a man and ******** one

Why would he state that though? He could just say "I didn't like the look of them". As the proprietor, he has the right to refuse custom to any person without having to give a reason.
