Sorry, but i STILL don't see how this is different from a man/woman relationship, where, for instance, the man knows the woman is infertile when he marries her.
Should THEY be denied the right to foster children too??
Help me out here - spell it out to me, UB.

Tel,
So we'll include infertile (and all the other reasons people can't have kids) couples in this too shall we?

Discussion. Debate.
My intention was not incitement. Though it was (with some people) inevitable.

Discussing is one thing - having an opinion is something different. All I'm asking him to do is explain his reasoning behind his opinion - maybe I can learn something. Simple question, but no answer yet.

. As long as the thread doesn't degenerate into a slanging match, where's the problem?

He's bored probably.
The only person provoking incitement is him with saying such things and doing the stupid rolleyes face.

There is some good debate. Some ranting but it's still interesting to me.

You're right - you don't need my approval. But to hold a sensible debate/ discussion people need to understand each others reasons. If someone states an opinion then runs away without any ability to justify it, where's the debate/ discussion? "This is my opinion and I'm right." So how can anyone else learn anything form that?
Maybe you're right? How can anyone ever know that if you can't explain why you believe something? You're unwillingness to try to explain your reasons just makes me think you haven't thought it through - just spouted the popular line. Maybe you're better than that, maybe you're not - who knows?

I've stated my opinion, which is what we were asked for. I don't have to justify it. You called me homophobic because of an opinion I stated that states nothing pointing to me being homophobic. Calling me that is not having an opinion, its making an accusation, two totally different things

Speaking for myself, I have stated my opinion and backed it up with reasoning. I agree that if you are going to counter someone elses opinion you must either explain yourself aswell or keep schtum in the first place!

So this wouldn't be accusing gay parents of being abnormal then...? Just checking out the differences between an opinion and an accusation that's all....
