What this has to do with my car I don't know. I find the Impreza boring and slow (when moving) so I've asked for opinions of a more fun car, not maybe faster but better fun. Like copper S works or maybe even some kind of chip diesel.

For me the wife is someone who I don't let drive, she isn't suited to it. So I don't mind if Copper S is a girls car, my concern is that the Front wheels are driving. Not good, more understeer.
Perhaps a BMW330D with 204bhp and chip will be the thing? I am told handling is very good but am yet to find one with right engine secondhand.

What do you say to someone who is too talented a driver for an Impreza?
Stay on the track and do the rest of us a favour. Don't take your over-inflated ego onto the roads, please. They're dangerous enough, I don't need the added hazard of someone spinning in front of me.
Besides, how can you even get in a car with those huge ***** of yours? So macho!

******* tosser. This is the twenty-first century.

Thanks for all the kind words, the same to you
My wife I don't let to drive because she spent most of her live driving in Pakistan, she thinks roads here are like the same- NO! , they do not.
Just as my car was big lag disspointment don't take it to heart. You may like easy car to drive, boring in my mind, at least you think it would be quick in a straight line.
Look at this a clio cup masters both the Impreza with ease, is pretty sad no?

What is the point really???????
I want to change and leave some of the people here to make themselves madder that the car isn't so good.

Suhail - When you had your trouble with the racists in the Petrol station - you remember the ones who told you that the Impreza was a white man's car - Was it before or after you told them their chosen marque was a pile of ****e and not suited to your "Unique" driving abilities gained on the race tracks of Pakistan (whilst racing the other blokes wives) ?

I don't race track, I never drove back in Pakistan, I learned to drive here in the UK. The racist thatgave me racist abuse I did not tell him his car was "****e" (as you are say) he started for no reason.
So many assumptions, don't fall to being a racist yourself jacey boy!
And away from topic of what is good other than Impreza for someone who doesn't like the car. RWD I think is the way to go.

Dude why a month ago did you say it was the best car you ever had and now your saying that it's crap, make up your mind!
I have some questions, after reading your other posts, do you have like a crank handle or something coming out your back or is there something else that makes you get wound up so easily or are you some kinda wierdo who gets some kinda kinky sensations out of pointlessely arguing with people on-line!!!!???
Oh and If you unzipped your gimp mask you might be able to see the road in your Impreza and it might go better!

Make up your own decision
The car now bores me, I have low tolerance of bored. Now I can change it for a new one as I have the money, why not? It is slow (to compare to modded 200sx, Fiat coupe Turbo) and understeers, also steering is far too light and over assist- really!

Modded scoob is no slouch, and you said you weren't into modding.
I think a Nissan Bluebird is more your image

Could your wife not learn to drive in England too? Funnily, I've always found that women can do most stuff that men can... amazing, isn't it! They have brains just the same as men, you know, in your case probably a bit bigger.
Are you really surprised at hostility? Your post translates as: I've got an Impreza, but I'm too damn good to drive it. That Richard Burns is useless, too... I could beat him any day if my car wasn't so ****.
Then you ask what people think... don't be surprised when they tell you, eh?

Darn that turbo lag, and aren't those boring old vtecs really slow under 6k revs! Sigh.
Turbo lag is rarely a problem over 3k revs - right? So surely if you're out for a plat, and you use the gear box, it's not that hard to keep up the revs above that. Leon Cupra doesn't suffer form much turbo lag your'e right, I have driven one within an inch of it's life for about 2 hours. But f**K me it wheel spins alot in the dry, plus that is just as likely if not more to get wheel spin that an scoob.
Franly Suhail mate, your fighting a loosing battle here, plenty of people incliding myself tried to explain what happens if you talk nonsense on this forum, we were even appologetic, obviously wasted...

I asked you a question and you reply by saying "don't fall to being a racist" - Which I think means you think I'm a racist for asking a simple question !
If I remember the thread about the racists you said you were getting rid of your car because it was driven by racists - now you're getting rid cos it aint fast enough - I wonder if tomorrow you'll be Gay and decide that any car driven by Homophobes is not for you ???
Later mate - buy a GT40 like I suggested earlier .
#107
Many thanks for your opinion I will ignore it jaycey.
Anyone have ideas about what car could be next? GT40 is old American car, not very pracitical or many to buy and to much money, 18K is limit now.
I think boring old car will go and be replaced by a better one.

Buy a Caterham? Or an Elise? Or something else that you won't lose money on when you're bored with it in 5 minutes......then you can go on their forums asking what to replace it with! Think of it...hours more fun winding other forum users up! How can you resist? Might help to convince you you're as good a driver as you say you are. Btw, what did you own before the Subaru?

Turbos are forced induction. They impede engine performance up until a certain point. Beyond that point, they're doing something positive.
Now superchargers may be more your thing...
More seriously, what do you want out of a car? Do you want it to be light and nimble? Do you want it to have huge power? You obviously like RWD, so do you want power oversteer to be available in the dry? Do you want safe handling, or something a little bit more edgy?
If you're looking for a challenge, I'd personally look at a second hand TVR. You can get surprisingly practical cars which will quite cheerfully sound fantastic at the same time as nearly killing you in the wet if you cough on the accelerator .
Everything about everyone's personal choice of car is a compromise between ***** out driver's fun and practicality. You may need more room, or you may have to drive 200 miles in a single journey... For me, a WRX wagon is about the best compromise going but obviously you want something a little bit more edgy, and I can understand that.
The other option is playing with your car to make it more of what you want, and also adjusting your driving style slightly to suit the car - it needn't be a massive change. You can set your car up to oversteer, or learn how to get the car handling like you want it to at any opportunity, though this is an exercise not to be undertaken on the public highway
Whatever you do, good luck, and don't forget to tell us the name of the BBS for the car that you finally choose
Nick.

I already told you it is japanese WRX saloon, do try and read the thread before making comment. It has big laggy TD05 turbo and little intercooler and different vents to later car.
When I do get another car and leave Impreza, not to worry, you are all such helpful people I will stay to join in.
TVR I have never thought of, things I read say they are badly built and that also not many places for a service. Not for me.
Thinking that having looked at the thread where a Clio beats 2 impreza very easily I can get one of them.

Make sure you get the Clio with ABS, eh?
