Hardly Subaru bashing.
Hardly Subaru bashing.
I desperately wanted a Subaru - ended up buying a new bug eye (baaarp...mistake!)
It had a full decat-ITG filter and made apparantly 240bhp.
Here she is:
Sold it as it was too slow, bought a std 944 Turbo which was quicker out of the box.
My GF also has the Clio cup, and I claim that to be as fast as a bug eye.
This thread is funny just to hear the excuses, and the "no Clio will ever overtake me".
I am not knocking Subaru's at all. Fact is lesser spec UK cars have got slower, hot hatches have got quicker to the point that once moving, there really is not that much in it.
You guys are getting upset as you are in denial!

i am not stupid enough to think that my subaru is the fastest thing on th road - far from it. i have stated on this bbs that 30mph+ and the subaru will have a hard time with any of the 170+bhp hot hatches.
but for you two guys to continually slate the subaru on a large amount of threads at anyone time becomes boring and predictable to say the least.

I wouldn't say it's Subaru bashing (subaru owner bashing maybe) What I've said is pretty truthful - unless you'd like to point out something I've said that isn't? Truth always hurts doesn't it?

what a load of old crap classic STis break 14 secs all day long even with ****e drivers. My standard classic sti runs 13.1 thats with both cats still fitted .I suggest you clio fools put your max power away and get a grip on reality
So owning a clio sport makes him a "max power fool"?? considering the amount of classic scoobs in such publications, i suggest you need a grip on reality
Why cant people just take it that a clio can beat a scoob? good on him!
That was a typical answer you get on here, "my cars better than yours, so i'm right about everything"
#462
yawn Isnt it so very sad when you see the clio boys raving on about beating a poorly driven standard scoob in a straight line.Must remind myself to pop over to the ferrari forum and slate their cars for being slow

LOL,
It amazes me the people that find this type of post tedious, still feel the need to read and reply.
Bit like watching TV, then complaining about it lol.
Did I ever tell the story where I raced and beat a WRX round the twisties - in my ex's Lupo?
It's true

The only 968 CS worth getting IMO is the one with M030 the suspension option, and they are fairly rare.
My car is like a 944 Turbo CS

yawn
To summarise this thread.....
Doesnt matter what car it is, it's all down to how good the driver is
A well driven clio sport will beat a badly driven scoob round a country road, off the lights etc, much the same as a well driven scoob will beat a badly driven Porsche Turbo (talking new model 4wd). Big deal!!!!
Now lets all go and start another stupidly pointless thread on "my car is better than yours"

Scoob would take too long and you'd probably write off the clio when it hit you.
After being at Santa Pod for the japshow, personally i`d jump in front of a black supra
at least then it doesnt matter which lane you stand in!!!!

Tony... erm... didn't you use to have an RB5 ? (or am I thinking of someone else who posted that 500+ times). Solid rear bulkhead and all that ?
In case you didn't notice (I wouldn't accuse you of reminding us ad nauseum what kinda car you have) I was talking about the 265 PS STi.
Clear ?
