What a class thread.. !!!

I cant wait to see the video footage...

Sounds to me like Scooby-Tc should buy a classic car and go to those shows......
A show with so many tuned motors is always gonna have folk doing doughnuts and power sliding and generally making themselves smile in thier own car..... Its a F**KING Laugh !!!
Better in the field than on the road......

Scooby-Tc -- You wanna see what i get up to with my P1.... youd have heart attack

Firstly, I was not the only one, or the first one. Secondly, I did not 'only just miss one tent', there was absolutely loads of space, the field probably only had 50% of the tents that were originally there. You obviously have problems with your eyesight, because the area we were pi$$ing about in was at least 50ft in diameter. The only tents I would have got close to were the ones from the group I was with, when I parked up. And WTF is with the kids comment?? The only kids were the ones who were watching from a good distance away. I have kids of my own, I wouldn't put peoples kids at risk

How did I know the PC brigade were going to post up about that??

Oh, and by the way, I have video footage that disproves your 'just missed a tent' bollox.
erm no i'm not anything to do with the PC brigade!
just remember your kids may have some common sense but not everyones kids do! there were kids standing quite close when the skyline was doing it! and yes i did happen to see other cars doing it in other fields!
the fact of the matter remains clubs were invited to use a public camping venue for a show and you aswell as others took advantage by churning up the fileds!
Oh and i was standing pretty close FYI
so how about not thinking im a keyboard hero i would quite happily have come over and told you that i thought it was stupid!
Maybe you didnt see the FWD car trying to copy your antics and failing miserably oh and he almost did hit a tent and a lad (probably one of his mates)

I haven't said anywhere i thought you were a crappy driver (although if your graphics are anything to go by your driving skills )

Sounds to me like Scooby-Tc should buy a classic car and go to those shows......
Erm he has a classic scoob STi 4 type r i was under the impression that it was a classic scoob but i could be wrong! Oh and he knows how to drive
as for going to the shows! we both go to 99% of the southern shows and all the major ones! as does IPALMER

as for video footage does it show all the times you were having a play or will you only show the best?

I saw nothing of what actually went on and look forward to seeing the video to make my own judgment. But there is a point that is worthy of discussion here.
Surly if the organisers had intended high spirits by people attending they would have ensured an arena and a safe environment for all to indulge. People could watch safely not only the good ones but also the less than cool wheel/clutch burners. I would have paid to see that. However there was not and therefore it should not be going on and that’s the bottom line.
Uncontrolled antics like this understandably make people nervous and upset, it’s a fact of life.
I had drawn the conclusion that the JAE was something more than just a car park gathering in which this thing usually happens.
I don’t think people would do the same in the car park of the NEC or similar. Next there will be more wardens and the entrance price will go up to stop people doing stuff like this.
On this occasion subject to watching the video of course it sounds a minor incident but it highlights clearly the difference between what some people feel is acceptable behaviour and what others consider not. Now where have I heard that argument before?
Wasn’t someone photographed in Jap Perf/Banzai last year doing this sort of thing with a suitable caption underneath?

Cool Uuurrrhhh....hello victor mature

lololol....i just love seeing the flatcap wearing ex-boys brigade crowd moaning and groaning about having some fun.

Do you know why huge car manufacturers make mondeos/vectra's, etc ? they're for you, yes you really do have your own car made exactly for you. Why buy a great car that can be easily tuned, etc and then moan when you see someone enjoying them selves in it.
Personally I understand to a degree the whinning about kids and tents, etc being near a donuting scoob but i've never understood what the problem is with flamer kits. Surely they're the best thing since sliced bread ?!? You flick a switch, blip the throttle and presto no more tailgaiting tosser on your ****. I do a lot of miles and absolutely love my flamer kit.

The best £70 i ever spent (apart from those 2 MoFoHo's in amsterdam last yr).

As the comments on the NEC carpark I was at MAX POWER LIVE and there was a Black BMW Doughnutting for nearly three minutes and when he stopped still had the tyres smouldering. That was in a public carpark. Nobody said a word to him. Altho I think the point about saying something at the time is a good one. Why complain when nothing can be done. Chill out. If you dont like it say something there and then. You might just find you willg et a much better positive result.

Still would love to see the Video. Why dont we organise a complete empty field for people to come and drift and powerslide and charge an admission and lets do it safely and raise some funds for charity.

They did.... but what has turning up on time got to do with English?! (Sorry, I couldn't help myself!!)

DreXel, I appreciate that you thought what you were doing was safe (and it may well have been... I didn't see), but you have to realise there will always be people who think it was dangerous or irresponsible (and unfortunately they found this thread).

The point is that no one was hurt, so let us all calm down and agree that we all have a different perspective on what happened. To be honest, if I were on an open grass area I would probably give it a go myself!!

Nice car by the way.

LMFAO

You judge peoples driving skills on their graphics??? So when you see people with rally graphics on their cars you think they drive like Petter Solberg?? LMAO

On the subject of the graphics, as I said when I first fitted them and posted the pics I knew they would cause controversy, but that's kind of the point. Everyone who has seen them thinks they really suit the car. I apologise for not being a sheep and going with rally graphics like every other scoob.

And why the **** do people keep mentioning the moron in the FWD Celica?? He was clearly retarded and had nothing to do with us.

At the end of the day me and the wife were away on one of the few weekends we have without the kids. We were there to let our hair down (well, I would if I had any ) and have fun. I took my sensible head off as soon as I set my tent up. I was having a BIT OF FUN, and IMO I didn't put anyone at risk.

BTW everyone the video footage is not mine it's a mates, he was uploading it last night. As soon as he comes on-line and gives me the link to it I'll post it here.

No I was not. I was on a stand with a club that covers ALL jap performace cars, not just scoobs (Ultimate Japanese Car Club). I was on the SIDC stand at Japfest last year, you kind of blend in when parked amongst 500 other scoobs so I went on a stand where I was the only scoob. I also know everyone on the stand I was on really well, so it made sense as I was spending the whole weekend with them

BTW I wasn't there, its pure coincidence us both being in bristol, I just think some of the attitudes on this thread are laughable, but that's becoming par for the course on SN lately.

At the end of the day Folks, Billing Lays down Rules for all Events.

Some of the Rules Include

No Burnouts
No Donuts
No Flaming

Their rules are thier rules.

I personally disagree with the Flamer rule as there were a few clubs carrying out controlled Flame outs.

By carrying out these Not Aloud things JAE will have problems with continuing at Billing.

I understand that its all about enjoyment. But what happens if Billing says - Sorry Folks it aint going to happen here no more ?

That is a fair comment, but as far as I am aware these sort of things happen every year, and it hasn't stopped the event yet. But I can see your point.

lol how long is this thread. I wasn't actaully at the show but safely say that I very much doubt that DrexeL put anyone at risk or nearly hit anything.

Anyone who spends as much time on their car as he does aint gonnna act like a idiot and trash it, I've followed him on meets and he always drives with respect and maturity on the roads. As for the flamer kit most of the time its other owners who are usually 2 faced about flamer kits "lame lame etc etc" who are the ones going flame it flame it!

Let's face it, we've all acted like 'Jack the Lad' once or twice so I really don't see what the big deal is.

PS: Nice pick of the flamer drex, car is looking sweet as ever.

Maybe Billing isnt the best place for it anyway. I was on the Power Engineering stand and watched cars trying to leave move about 50 yards in 1/2 hour. This was at 3pm and at 5pm the same thing was happening. I can only imagine it was taking them around an hour just to get to the exit gate.not good. Now before you ask, No i dont have an idea of a better venue but i'm not sure I will go back next year.
