Should clarify that you'd be a loon not to go for the new ITR over a CTR

Have to agree even thought we also have a CTR, the Teg is just lovely. Or hows about a DC2 Teg......saw a black one yesterday and very nice it looked as well, Should get an excellent well looked after example for around £10K (?). nd with the cash left over bung a Spoon n1 on and you 'll sound like an F1 car. And the change will get you a nice holiday.

Jay, get him to look at the Seat Leon Cupra R. They are great value for money. Just check on the insurance first as he is only 21, this may limit his choice. Litchfields ITR is a car I would be looking at too.

Well... he was pretty sold on a CTR after a test drive... But based on your comments I've asked him to try and arrange to test drive an ITR. I'll mention the Cupra R too.
He was quoted £2k by Adrian Flux on insurance for the CTR so I'm thinking premiums on anything greater might be prohibitive...

Flux are shocking, I dont know who gets insured with them
Try the usual Tesco, Elephant, Egg, Greenlight etc.
If he likes the CTR, the new ITR will blow him away Insurance might be an issue being an import.
