ahh, I'm being thick - I thought you meant that most renault cars were going to the UK.

It's Friday afternoon, and I need to go home

Brokers are doing the Smegane for £16.5k so I wouldn't pay full price.

I wouldnt touch a Megane 225, just read the mag reviews! The Clio 172 / 182 package fantastic if everything goes well. I've had a 172 Cup for 18 months with no problems and it's a great car. Will be sad to see it go when I change later in the year.

The megane arrives next week. Oh well, as long as she's happy...

Thanks for the opinions. I'm pretty much of the same mind, but it would be waiting another 8 weeks for the Clio, and she's had enough of it . I can sorta see that

She's got the Megane now.

I must admit, it's a *lot* more car than the clio was and, being frank, I think it'll suit her better. OK, it may not drive as well, but it seems to go well in a straight line, isn't terribly bad in the corners, and has 225 after it rather than 182, so it must be faster

The megane is now back in the garage - the emissions system light was constantly on after 30 miles of driving.

"stuck injector" was the diagnosis.

I personally am rather dubious about Renaults after this lark!
