Pricing thing again: a Golf with about the same spec would cost me at least 4K more. Plus my wife had a Golf before, and wasn't particularly happy with it.

Can you tell me why you rejected the Cupra ? Build quality ? Paint ?

There is a test of this against the Cooper S in this weeks Auto Express. 0-60 in 6.8 and even quicker in gear times

Well, I'll never know if it would have been a nice car or not.

Went to a Seat dealer yesterday, sat in a 100 sport, and indeed enough space.

Wanted to book a test drive.

"Sorry sir, there are no demonstrators with the dealers"
"Erm, OK ?"
"You'll have to go to the Seat main importer in Brussels"
"Erm, OK."
"You'll have to book the car through us, and we'll arrange the drive"
"Erm, OK."

Have to arrange date/hour with wife, so she calls the dealer again today.

"Can you book us the test drive in Brussels ? My hubby was with you yesterday"
"Yes mam, will do as we speak"

- dealer calls Brussels -

"Sorry, there are no Cupra D's on their planning"
"Erm ?"
"Yeah sorry, so not possible to test drive"
"Erm ? So how are people supposed to test the car then ??"
"They can't I'm afraid"
"So how will you ever sell the damn cars"
"We very seldom do to be honest..."
