Ohhhh... it's very dark in Coventry..... but it's hard to tell if that's due to the storm..

I got woken up by a mahoosive clap of thunder last night, the loudest I've ever heard. I live about half a mile from the 2nd highest lightning conductor in the local area, I'm guessing it got struck.

My 1st thought was "'kin 'ell, that thunder's loud", my 2nd was "****, this ain't thunder it's a fookin' plane crash" and my 3rd was remembering a line from Evo magazine "thunderclap like someone throwing a Deltic diesel wrapped in a blanket down a flight of stairs"

Getting very dark in Hertfordshire now. Rumbles of thunder and it's just started to rain.....

I love big storms, not sure the dog is so keen though, so I don't think I will be taking her out for a walk.

"A bit stormy"... yeah, just a bit. Catching a train out of Waterloo was a nightmare. Pretty much every train was cancelled! Thankfully I was able to catch one of the four which remained in service at that time.

Krade, I was in the BSI building, 14th floor, over on chiswick roundabout.

It was f'ing mental. It was like a tornado hit at one point, with trees bending over like straws.

An hour earlier I drove through the first wave on the m1 / m25 and it was bloody scary, the lightning kept hitting the huge pylons, they ,must have conductors built in???

Yep, I was on my bike for the first time in the wet (without wet gear!!) on the M1.
Never been so glad to get home!
At one point a pylon that got hit must of only been 50ft from me!

It took me 2 hours to get from J13 M25 to Hanger lane. I was trying to get to Ace Cafe. When I saw the state of the N circular I gave home. Southbound on the Same circular and i was home in 20 minutes
