Had the headlamp adjuster switch out last night and it has 2 bulbs - one for the numbers and another on the **** - which was actually missing.
The bulbs it needs are the twist type and are pretty small, the smallest in the car section of ultraleds was twice the size of whats required. However, I remember from someone who's already done it that they modified a 3mm led (so I bought a couple) to fit in the holder. The old bulb came out fine - it's the wires from the LED that hold it in place and wrap around the holder - replacing with a blue LED looks a peice of cake as long as you've got a pair of longnose pliers and a steady hand. I'm sure these bulbs are also used the foglamp switches - all three bulbs can be got at without dismantling the switch.
Do you know which bulb is required for *** lighter - it was the only one on the centre console I didn't look at.
Out of interest - I found in my manual wallet a couple of spare bulbs inside a plastic bag which have the Subaru part no. on - 83426AA040 if it's of use to anyone. the bag contained 1 twist type bulb (bag has "bulb-switch Illumi" written on it) and another which I assume is from dash area as it's a 5mm LED with a green plastic sleeve over it.
Also - this posted in electrical - I swapped my rear tail lights for the LED type but it caused the ABS warning lamp to illuminate - once I've resolved this I'll let you know - incidentally - they looked good while they were in, the whole of lens was bright and even rather than having a "hotspot" in the middle.

Wonder Wagon - which bulbs did you use? Is it as dark as the pic? I hear that the blue makes the red needles hard to see - is this right? I had considered red which might make the needles a bit brighter than they are now.
