If I hadn't broken my hip last year, I'd see the lot of you at the bottom - too scared now

chaps some nice looking specs and bikes there

Haven't bought a bike in 10 years, my old bike was when Shimano STI first came out and weighs a little bit now

Nice to get back on a decent bike and get out off road again

Just got an S-Works Enduro, full XT, Hope M4's and Fox Talas front fork.

I'm not convinced about the Brain yet.

For riding fast(racing) the brain rock's it's sooo efficient, hacking around fully active is probably more practical.

Replaces my 2001 Intense Tracer, which had full XTR, Fox forks, minis etc, great XC/Trail bike, but this thing rocks compared to it for the harder ridinig I'm doing now, love it!

Man invented chair lifts for one reason.... to get your bike back to the top. You can ride back up if you want, and I'll see you on my way back down!!

I've got the same but with a Manitou Minute 3. TOTALLY convinced by the Brain, which works way better than a standard Enduro's shock. Mind you. I'd still like a total lockout for tarmac, but then I'm just fussy like that.

Only problem with the bike is that after last week's Afan trip (all barring Skyline in one day) and following 8 months of very hard use, the bushings and rear wheel bearings (Crossmax XL) are shot to ****. And the Manitous need Tim Flooks to fettle them, but that's booked for next week.

Other than the above, which is all consumable stuff, I've had no problems - for a 24lb bike with a 15st bloke on it (16st including full Camelbak) it's performed without fault.

Off to Les Gets at the end of next week, so it's a strip-and-rebuild session this week.

That is one cool retro looking Orange!

My first MTB was an Orange Clockwork DX and I wish I still had it!
