AJM, Remember people do not keep animals just as pets. What about dogs for the blind/deaf/disabled? I would suspect there is atleast one close to everybody.

Practically speaking, I don't think the new law will make any difference to the annoyance factor from the irresponsible chavs letting fireworks off constantly. I don't believe the police will catch them in sufficient numbers if they even bother. Vitually impossible to catch them.

It did not need another law anyway, they could be caught as it is for causing a disturbance etc. I think the new law is mainly to impress us all with the authorities concern for us all.

They are so hard to catch, a firework goes up at three am, wakes you up and then it goes quiet, no clue where it came from. I think the new law is sound, a few guidelines that reinforce the unwritten rules that a few idiots don adhere to. I have just spent a week in Anglessey with arseholes all over the beach there till 3 and 4 am leaving broken glass, shouting, leaving fires, setting off fireworks etc etc, anything that can curb the F*ck you mentallity that pervades our society can only help or at least give the persecuted some recourse in law, I mean how many people get told by the Police that they cant do anything about some nusisance as there isnt a law against it ?

I got my own back on the beach idiots by sending the odd dog turd over, propelled by a beach spade, pitch black and you get hit by flying poo at 1.30 am after several gallons of WKD, Vodka, Bacardi Breezer (all left on the rocks, Three bin bags full each morning)

 

Probably right. After all, if there's one thing we know for sure about this Government, it's that there is always a sub text, a hidden agenda, to anything they do.
