When my car goes it will have every reciept in a folder, with the type of oils used and everything that goes with it.

i REALLY want to get my next service (the 60k biggie) down by a specialist for cost reasons, but i just wonder if the money saved will be a potential loss of retail value when the old girl goes
by the way, what's the OFT fair trading recomendation?

I have taken mine to a specialist for a good few services now and have saved a lot of money, my last cam belt service inc motul oil @ £10 a litre inc anti freeze and this that and the other was only around £300 inc all genuine subaru parts. they also do the crank sensor turn over for extra precaution with out me asking them. I recently got an oil and filter change (genuine)with motul oil and new bosche aux belt all done for around £80. The last time I asked the subaru dealer for a simple oil change was £90 with semi synth oil that they charge @ around £30 but when I asked them how much to do the service with me bringing my own motul oil @ £50 they said the service would be £80! How do they figure that out? the price is nearly the same yet they use no oil!
forgot to add that the cam belt service included cam oil seals as well!
