Wet and windy... and that was just the effects of the guinness CW drunk last night!
Fantastic time... even though MissyC chose us the worst weather weekend ever... and THEN didn't even come along (w**king? My a*se! ). Loved the drama of putting tents up in the torrential rain, waiting for the rain to stop and then returning to the campsite to find out that tents were either flattened or blown away!!!
Hope Neil and his friend got back safely, and a big thanks to Neil's friend who sat on our (flattened) tent to stop it from flying away while we calmly finished our drinks, laughed at the (ahem) entertainer and then slowly wandered back... to near on devastation!!! We really appreciate it, and sorry we didn't thank you last night.
Thanks CW for some sooper-dooper routes again, and to everyone for the great company and the vodkas!
Here's looking forward to next year!
Rachael (still looking for my own user name! )
PS... ChrisB... jammy donuts for breakfast? FANTASTIC!!!!!

It was sunny at the start
One of several tractors
Lunch stop...
Nice sunshine........just a few minutes before.....

Setting up tents in the rain...

The last we saw of Neil's tent!
It was wet,

this wet.
Phoenix Nights!!
The remianing tents...
Traditional post-club drink!

Some tractor stats from the weekend:
4hrs 17mins of driving (home-to-home)
375 miles
Average 39mph
Overall mpg = 44.8
Excellent route as ever Mr CW That yellow Ka on the way back from the pub was peddling hard trying to keep up

Having seen the weather, I'm kind of glad I wasn't able to make it now....
Hope it clears up for Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

You'll have whatever you are given LMF
Back to Wales for me today - I'm sat opposite Conway Castle right now. Drove across in lovely sunshine but now it's raining again

Sorry to have missed this one.
Did anyone actually loose a tent then
Were any of them damaged by the high winds and rain.
Its good to see that you all got back in one piece though.

Neil's tent is probably 1/2 way up Snowdon by now (it went AWOL whilst we were in the pub). Dave and Rachael managed to rebuild their's in the dark and Neil's mate was wrecked 'cos the poles snapped.

I couldn't comment on Neil's tent pitching ability
Oh, and CW slept in the car as he didn't trust his tent...
However, my tent (at least 12 years old!) survived the night

We slept in our tent, it was cosy, warm, stayed up and the flapping didn't keep us awake! (though whenever I woke up I did check to make sure the fly sheet was still there!
