Whats happened to 2nd hand market ??

Sure it's all a bit of fun at the end of the day!
Got more or less what I'd expected for my Feb 01 bug-eye (I'm more realistic than some),trading in saved me the hassle of a heap of gobsh1tes near my house and pick a new car up in the morning!
I've more important things to worry about than a grand here or there on a car, what do folk expect when new UK cars can be got for £18K?

I got 14k. I feel a little bad really. I'd dropped the price from 14,995 to 12,995
but just couldn't sell it. Then, out of the blue I get a call from a guy saying "is the Subaru still for sale mate?" He came and saw it and said " I don't think it's worth the full asking price, will you take 14k for it?" I said,"oh, go on then"
He was looking in a very old copy of the auto trader!
I don't feel too bad, he was only 20 and his daddy was buying it for him! (allright for some!)

Losing 8k in two years must really hurt
I bought my MY98 two years ago with fssh from a scooby deallership for 11k.
I have spent a few quid on it, but dread to think what its worth now.
Good job i'm not selling

I had a few extras put on my MY02 WRX, it came to over £20k.
Then 2 months after i picked it up Subaru cut £3000 off the list price. Doh!!!
Going back to the 2nd hand thing, I got more from my dealer for the car when i was getting rid of it to get the WR1 than i could get privately after advertising it for a month.

....this is why I contract hire.
I'm great at buying things but crap at selling them.
£299 a month, and a new car every two years. Makes sense to me

Stan Palmer Subaru matey.
£1k deposit, £299 per month is what I pay. I think the saloon is cheaper than that, I have a wagon just to be different, and because they're better
I think the STi is only £399 a month.
It was only £249 for the bugeye I had before!!!
