gl to a sti..... but they openly admit if it hasnt got fogs or scoops they dont wave
certain posters seem to be implying is, its not a scooby, if it hasnt got a turbo... and the general public buy the non turbo varients...
how many of them drove scoobys before a certain gentleman won loads of rallys and made it famous...
bet they couldnt wait to get down the pub and remark on its farming pedigree!!!!!
i dont care what level of trim engine or drive system it has,, if its a subaru it gets a wave..

From: in a house full of girls!
I had a sport until recently, when it was standard ie: as it came from the factory, when i waved at scoobs "all scoobs" most didnt wave back.
now when I did it up and made it look like a turbo, added the bonnet, and stickers etc, those that waved almost doubled.
strange phenomenen.
now I have a alfa romeo spider, and i still wave and funnily enough most wave back?!?!? go figure lol. ile be back in a full fat scoob though.

Reading through the whole thread it looks like the N/A owners are at fault!
My 2pense worth:
- Most n/a are owned by older people or non-enthusiasts and so they don't even know about the waving etiquette.
- Turbo owners seem to receive hostility form the n/a drivers because the n/a drivers are scared of being insulted or put down.
Having said that it is true that there are a few turbo owners who like to spoil it for the rest... "Why would you want to lower yourself"
The solution is simple... don't listen to the minority of turbo owners who do not like the n/a's and wave first! If a n/a waves first then the turbo driver will know that they are friendly and an enthusiast!
One last thing to mention is that you do not always have time to wave if you are working out if the other driver is going to wave back of not.
Well here is one big wave to everyone!!!!

well, when i pick mine up, I'm gonna wave at every singe scooby i see, whether turbo or not -even tho mine is "only" a sport (and a yellow one at that) so if u see me please wave, or I might decide to add another wave to you
but of course I'm not really like that
