Its a bit like that down here in the depths of Devon now.

I agree with F D'I. Unlike the US, the car joining the motorway does not have the right of way and therefore he should slow down if necessary until he can join safely.

The worse thing is to have a maniac join right where you were going to be when there is a car on your right about to overtake you. It can be very tight and the bloke joining is in the wrong.

If the timing is right than it is best to join at the speed of the cars already on the M Way, but being prepared to come to a stop if necessary if there is no room to do so. Most thinking people on the M Way will move to the right anyway before arriving at a junction providing they have room to do so.
