Clio 172's are quicker FFS.
Though the Scoob is a better car.

depends how often you go round the track! For me I want something big and comfortable.
I had a seriously look at a 182, mates dad is the sales manager and offered me a very good deal. The one thing I'm not that keen on the 172/182 is the way the rear wheel lifts off the ground. At Druids corner at the weekend the back well was a good inch of the ground! 3 legged bronco!
Exactly, I do prefer the one that Natdog has got.

He travels to work like us, but on his own. Wants a comfortable car that is also quick and tuneable.
Disregarding the badge (joke Maxim ) - its a good choice, it'll never be a track weapon....but does he want it to be?? Maxim??

Any car can really but as an everyday car with an induction kit etc it won't be. Maxim doesn't want it to be by the sounds of it hence he's made a good choice.
I'd struggle with the badge.

Resale value on an RS? Not good Bought mine for 14K new, had it for 28 months, did 139,000 miles in it and only got (sp) £6.5k for it when I sold it.
Is it capable of being a track weapon and an everyday car? Nah Mine did the 139k miles in 2.5 years and only 11.5k of them were track miles, including about 750 laps of the Ring. Best time BTG was just over 8'30" with T13 "closed". Fast, wet tracks is where it was good, once you've learnt to drive it properly.
Badge snobbery? Yep, gave me a feeling of being one up on those who'd spend more on another car from the VAG group but had paid more for less
Any questions about it, come over to www.briskoda.net and ask away.
