must be great fun to drive, 330bhp in car weighing what about 1150kgs
But traction must be an issue with all that power through the front wheels, but once moving i bet it shifts some !!

The 225 engine is no stronger than the standard 150 engine
in fact the earliest AGU is supposed to be the strongest due some minor changes made to the later 150/180 engines and the 225

this seems to be proving true as my engine has over 110,000 miles on the clock, been running between 321 and 374 bhp for the past year and the internals haven't been touched

Liam, car is still pretty much the same with the same issues. I still need things sorting but I've been too busy with other things recently and the car has taken a back seat. Still need the laptop plugged in!
Will call you soon for a chat and update.

yeah fetch yourself a new badge, it's fun to confuse

the 225 engine has stonger crank and forged pistons which the 150 engine does not have, so therefore must be stronger overall.

but saying this the 1.8t engine is a very strong engine out of the box in any guise, and is very under stressed in original spec.

I thought the gearbox was meant to be the weakest link on these cars?

Only good for 250lb/ft
