###OUR P1 STOLEN TODAY###

Sorry to hear about this.
If it helps pinpoint the time, I arrived at about 11:30 (when the Group C stuff was on) and saw it parked up. I left when it tipped it down at about 3 and it was gone.
Someone must have seen something as it was parked in full view at the front.

Yet another car vanishes from Donnington
Mate had his evo 7 stolen last year from the car park, police said 4 had "vanished" that day.
Thought the security would have been beefed up but apparently not, makes you wonder who saw what or not as the case may be.
Don’t you think the police would be slightly interested in monitoring the car parks, lots of racing equals nice cars in car park, thieving scum are bound to be interested aren’t they.
Or am I thinking too logically.

Im very sorry to hear about this mate... The thieving *******s should be strung up by there *******...
I have to ask though - why didnt your RAC trackstar unit go off and notify the HQ your car was being tampered with or moved.
I know the unit in my car goes off if the car moves the slightest bit.
Hope you have some good news soon and maybe even get her back in one piece. Good luck

Gutted for you Steve, it always looked great.
You will feel like bailing out of the performance car scene for a while, but stick with it, the emotion goes away eventually.
The thieves should be executed!!

We're hangin' in there...just.
At the mo we're torn between getting away from the scum who do this and quiting Scoobydom all together and starting again from scratch.
Our P1 is a very 'family' oriented mota, i've got 2 teenage girls who learned how to change a d/v, fit an induction kit, change the wheels..... and more. We all learned and grew together with this car.
Thanks for all the support,
Steve & t'pit crew.

Ergh.. I may not own a Scooby, but I think I can appreciate your loss. Even hearing about peoples pride & joy getting stolen makes me feel sick.. this country is going to the absolute pits and the system is doing nothing to stop these pikey chavvy scumbags.
I hope you recover your car in unmolested condition.

Sorry to hear about this... I too would like to hear why this car cannot be found using Trackstar... I've just come across this http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=254343 that could be one reason why it hasn't worked.
Perhaps scooby owners are better off using Disklok and/or the Barrier Deadlock along with an anti-hijack alarm.

Merlin, christ mate that is unbelivable, I think a call to the Top Gear Off ice might wake them up, cos if those guys get hold of a story like that, they tend to rip the **** out of them.

Jesus, really feeling for ya m8!! Know how your feeling as we had our RS nicked outside our house by a low loader of all things, if they want it then they'll take it.
Give us a bell about the Tracker as I'm interested in what you've found out, just got my Tracker tested the other day with no probs.

I have had 2 Scooby's now and both were fitted with the RAC trackster.
I got hit by a drunk driver in my first one and Tiley's of Bristol came down to pick it up on a low loader.
The chap driving hadnt got out of Swansea and RAC were calling me to tell me my car is being moved without being deactivated and there was a Police car following the vehicle. I told them it was on its way to the garage for repairs and they told me i was supposed to call them to notify them it would be moving.
2nd time it happened was with my P1 on a low loader going for its service as i wasnt able to get time off work to take it. I arranged to have it picked up and delivered. The car wasnt even out of sight and RAC were on the phone again asking why my car was being moved without deactivation of Trackster.....
Can i ask if the Trackster was still active on the stolen P1 ???
Was the car bought from a dealership ?
Its possible that a spare set of keys were ordered for the car maybe 6mths prior to sale, report the old set lost. New owners know nothing of new keys and get the 2 sets so they think no different, few months later the former owners come looking for the car and they can drive it away as easy as you. If they have an hour or two to get car away then they will have time to disable the Tracker and hide it well out of sight.
Sorry to be the pessimist but im just tryin to understand how the trackster didnt work

sorry to carry on the Trackstar spanking, but when I first had my P1 they had my car mixed up with another owner and vice versa.....pays to check...they phoned me to say my car had been nicked when I was driving it at the time!...god help the guy who's car had been nicked as he was probably oblivious..
