But trust me dont even think that on the basis ure about as fast as me round CC (while i still have a passenger i'll remind you) you couldn't actually keep up with a decent caterham round the same track. If u can then that person driving the caterham should think about his life
Next you'll be taking on F1's

Bit behind the times on this thread....
8v rock
This weekend is the final round of Harewood Hillclimb in Leeds. Saturday and Sunday. Sunday has an impressive entry list of 205 8v in various guises in Class 2 (Road going modified production cars < 2000cc)
Ranging from standard 205's, to ones with Throttle bodies (Jenvies ), twin 45's etc.
Hopefully Sunday should be interesting as its the final day of the final round !

A run up the hill earlier in the season. The run about is about 70.5 seconds which leave me just over a second off the pace of the quickest 205 in Class 2.
My excuses range from... not enough bottle, too much fuel (true as we have to run a full tank), to standard head at 8200rpm which isn't exactly ideal.. Depending on the wind direction I give a different excuse !!!
Anyway Sat / Sun (18,19) final round of the Harewood Championship....come along to hear my Jenvies..... they sound well on full chat !
*16v 205 not allowed. Never produced as standard....

If Leeds is the wrong end of the country, come down to North Weald Airfield in Essex where we have a sprint meeting on Sunday 26th September. It's a regional championship event rather than national championship so it is just the one day, I haven't updated the entry list for a while there are a few 8v 205's listed but the are more received just not on the list.
Also plenty of Jap metal to compare to as well
More info on this thread about the special Japanese import class we are trying to put together.
Blackscooby is right though: 16v 205s go into the "anything goes" class!

Just wait until next season... should be back with forged pistons, properly sorted head etc.....instead of the temp. engine its running on
Then we can make it rev properly !!!!
