I remember someone posting about the pink scoob but couldn't remember who. Must be an age thing. Have had a hard life. Sympathy is always welcome as are donations to my future medical care. All credit+debit cards accepted as well as hard earned.

Andy, I'm with DirectLine. There are no mods except the backbox and they weren't bothered by that as it had no performance gain as such. A full decat is a different story though. Alarmed, imobilisor and tracker, 10+ years no claims, no points and an M postcode. We also have the house and the wifes car insured with them, so there is a bit of discount in there too.

Thanks for the info. Would never have even thought about Directline as being competitive on a scoob. Just proves that even I can make a mistake (or was it Lynne). I'll see what they are like with mods involved.

Well they wouldn't touch me with a barge pole when I asked about a Skyline R34, but it was running at 600bhp

Wonder why with that bhp. You'd need a new driving test.

Meant to add that tescos around the corner have got the 99 ron super unleaded in and only 95p per litre. Tried some last night, car seems a little bit noiser (in a good way) that may be my imagination though. However it does pop and bang a bit more so may need to adjust my power fc to reduce the fuelling slightly.

Sounds good to me.

It's cheaper than buying Optimax from the Shell garage on Hunger hill. Which Tesco's is it? Is it the one on Hamilton Street in Atherton?

Default Last night..

Silver one heading towards Standish on Wigan Road about 6.30 last night and he waved!!

Blue R reg at the lights coming from Queens Street onto Riverway.

Blue STI turning onto a side road (Hillcrest?) off Leigh Road.

I'm such a spotter, it's sad really.

Also spotted yesterday a black bug/blob on manchester road nr the roundabout going up the hill (princess ave???)
I gave a wave, but in true bug/blob style fashion, no response. I think they are envious of our older and lighter classic thoroughbred cars.

If its anyone on here then

I take great offence by this comment. Not all bug/blobs are like that.

Anyway, they are probably too busy enjoying their comfy interiors, nice seats and great electrics and all round better build quality whilst you classic owners are still trying to find the cranking handle and kindling to start your engines

I like a bit of nostalgia. Besides air con is great isnt it in this weather, and buckets seats hold you so well when taking corners, no sliding about or anything dangerous like that.....

Yup, it's the one on Hamilton street... just up the road from me. If it's decent stuff, it beats driving to Bolton to Shell every week.

When you have more than 200+ bhp you'll realise the importance of driving for driving sake. Why go the short route when there is a much longer one. (spotlessly clean sport drivers huh)

The classic turbo's are a practical car though. I've not worked out what for yet but maybe one day I will.

I'm an expert at driving for drivings sake! I've done nearly 2,000miles now, and not actually been anywhere

Unlike someone else I could mention, who's car is always parked in the same spot outside their house everytime i go past. Was starting to think it didn't run till I saw you in it the other week

I'm staying in until the 1000th post . My little Ka only averaged 200 miles a year. Scoob about 4k and Primera about 3. I can't afford petrol after paying for the insurance on them.
