'Diamonds are Forever... (or one of the others - can't be 100%)

Sounds daft but the bit where Bond's in the coffin and the flames light up as he goes down the rollers into the crematorium oven...'

Apple, that freaked me out as well !

It was a movie called 'Easy Rider' - saw it when it came out in '69.

A real shock ending in the days when the good guys in the movies survived and the bad guys got their just desserts.

Not this movie.

Met a friend outside the cinema afterwards and he said I looked as white as a sheet.

Man Bites Dog. What an awful disturbing film. Just sick. Can't get worse than that.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Disturbing. But even more disturbing was me involuntarely, putting my hands in front of my eyes because I just couldn't handle watching parts of it! Good movie though, kind of an adult dark patomine.

"Horror" films as such don't bother me one bit - I don't have any imagination and just laugh at them

However, as a disturbing film "Sleepers" is really bad - as it's based on real life events, and to think that sort of stuff really goes on is just horrific

No! Ugh, don't even want to think about it.
Oops, an image from Man Bites Dog flashes through my mind. Torn open rib cage on a kitchen table. After a rape scene.

Saw irreversie a few months back, certainly sticks in your head for a while.
'Boys dont cry' is pretty disturbing too along the same lines as 'monster'.

Remember when I was at a child minders once aged about 9, and what film does the child minder get out for the kids to watch? Robocop.....

The bits I found most disturbing at the time were (amongst others) the bit where that guy crashes the truck into the vat of toxic waste and "melts" and the bit where they leave a grenade on that guys table then shoot his legs to bits so he cant get to it.

Its entertaining, but it is rated 18 for a reason! However saying that it'd probably be a 12 if it was released now...

Two scenes stick in my mind...

Texas Chainsaw Massacre - When leatherface hangs the girl on the meathook.
American History X - When Derek Vinyard puts the black guys mouth on the kerb and stamps on his head.

Makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Although these films have disturbed us all, they obviously managed to do what the film maker set out to do didnt they!!!

Agree totally, I ordered a copy of this recently and, although obviously dated with the end of the Cold War, it still retains the power to shock and disturb. What it must have been like to watch this in 1984 at the height of the Cold War when many people thought a nuclear war a distinct possibility is hard to imagine.

Threads was on Sky a while back, a very depressing film.

I believe it's on Bittorrent at the moment, but it's not the sort of film you watch over and over...

BY far and away the most disturbing film ever has to be SCHINDLERS LIST ......... didnt wanna watch it, wasn't gonna watch it, watched the first ten mins or so and really wanted to turn it over but just couldnt. If it isn't already then it should be part of the school curiculum and seen by all at least once. The fact that its a true story makes it worse still ..........nuff said

I Found Seven disturbing when I watched it at the pics. Not any part in particular but because it made me think about serial killers, and that stuff like has happened and does goes on in real life.

I have just finished reading American psycho (not seen the film yet) and it is pretty graphic and disturbing in places.

Oh yeah and blair witch project.....NOT.

I've only seen the end scene of 'Seven' and that was pretty disturbing, also some of those war films when evil soldiers do awful thing to civilians. I watched 'Tears of the Sun' that was quite disturbing and sad that people can do that to others (It had Bruce Willis as a ruthless soldier becoming good).

Faces of Death 1st edition - when I was 10

Executions, live parachute drops - without parachute opening, monkeys brains removed while live and eaten, man gets throat cut and then head removed as a close up.

Yeah, I saw that scene while just flicking through channels at a hotel. Turned straight over, just made me sick.

And..don't laugh, but the bit in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where the Child catcher is trying to lure the kids shouting, " Lollipops". This was when I was a kid, of course.

To take this full circle - got to agree with drumster - Irreversible takes some beatng. THAT scene just seemed to go on and on and on - very uncomfortable.

Another one that still gets to me every time I watch it is "Scum" - some nasty scenes in there - the greenhouse/nursery scene is often cut for TV - the original is a bit longer.

I still think the **** raping scene in the deliverance is one of the most disturbing scenes in my book, imagine some redneck twisting your ear telling you to scream like a piggy

Fight Club, when Brad Pit gets his *** kicked by the club owner in the basement.

Fatal Attraction had a few scary moments too, especially the rabbit scene.
