I wave at all Impreza's - have waved at Foresters and Legacy's but never get a response from these!

I drive a 51 plate GX (sport) and find that some of you guys with WRX's, STi's etc are a bit picky about returning the gesture - is it some sort of superiority thing?

Keep on waving guys!

Had my Scoob about a month now, got my 1st wave back today (in Widnes Cheshire)
that makes it about 2%, get more response off pedestrians than drivers !!

I wave at all Impreza's whilst in my Standard Bugeye WRX - younger people in non turbos are usually gobsmacked that I've bothered with them and older drivers over 50 just blank me. But yes, I have found there is definitely a strata of superiority levels - in my case it tends to be a certain type of people in highly tuned or customised classics and P1's that seem to ignore my waves.

Angry rubbish

Coming home to Hertford from Brighton yesterday I saw 10 scoobs, with no wavers. What on earth is happening? I make that 0% hit rate, this included 1 ginger bloke in a blue sport who I pulled up next to tooted and waved at and he blanked me!

I've passed five in and around Cambridge in the last three days - and only one waved back.

Angry

Waved at a wrx today, he replied by waving a w****r sign at me.

LMAO.

Not getting much success.

Maybe get one of those enormous foam hands people have at footy matches to get some attention?

I'm new to the wjole Scooby thing as I just bought mine a couple of weeks ago, been getting waves from fellow scooby owners and thought to myself "the previous owner of this car must have been well kent!" I always wave back politely. It wasn't until I was telling my m8 who has a scooby too that I realised that it was a scooby thing. Since finding this out I now wave at all scooby owners, with mixed response. It warms the heart when you get a response... Ahhhh! I love this car!!!!

Saw 2 Scoobies at the Farmers Market in Milford on Sunday - one was parked up with no one around, but I waved anyway! no response though!
Second one totally blanked me

Saw a wagon on the Dennis Roundabout under the A3 - waved - blanked again!

0% success rate...

I always wave, despite thinking it was a bit daft when I first got my Scoob. Initially did it out of politeness but now its natural. Even my GF does it from the passenger seat, and she thought I was a loony at first! But, some folk can take it too far. A couple of weeks ago I pulled up to a halt at a short queue before a roundabout in my Sti and had the window down. I then got the **** scared out of me when this couple in a new black Sti pulled up beside me. The lady passenger was leaning out the her window waving with both hands squealing 'HELLOOOOOOO'. I shat myself and almost dropped the clutch and shunted the guy in front!!!!! Nice folks I'm sure.

Thumbs up

Go to southern Ireland out in the sticks and you get a 100 % positive wave back reaction.
in fact the required method of driving is one hand steering the other waving
