Brendon that is the one but it seems that a few posts are mixed up. My post no 23 was actually the first post.
From the thread: "I think if you dug this thread out in 5 or 10 years time and re-read it you would probably actually understand what a lot of people are saying and also see what was causing them to say it, and actually be a bit embarressed at some of your misplaced confidence"
Well its two years now and I still think a lot of people were talking a lot of ****!!!
My attitude was perhaps a little 'spunky' (can't believe I just used that word!) but what I was trying to say most of the time I still believe in. FWIW, the only car crash I've been in in the 2 years since was at.........................................a trackday when being driven by some moron in a BMW that went nuts because he was off the public road! How he didn't kill two bystanders that day I'll never no, I just closed my eyes!
Its a funny thread and possibly the biggest flaming on SN ever but it carrys some very important messages from many different posters. In the following year of Scooby ownership it became apparent beyond all doubt that my car suffered massive deceleration under fuel surge and I maintain that I had no power in that corner that day to correct the problem.
Unfortunatly now I drive a 406 so that corner isn't nearly so fun although speed wise you can still usher the old barge round it at a good 70-odd mph.
