Which Octane Booster

Logic would say, use low level of best OB (which is - from where?) - however I did use one on old Porsche Turbo and 1/4 of a super cooled sodium valve parted company - not sure if there was a connection though..
Best advice on OB please for UK Prodrive 03 STi

Just added some NF with the ratio of 1ml per litre to my sti 4. Definatley a reduction in knock link activity. I now only get the first two green lights up to 7k and one amber light after. I will now try another 30ml to bring the ratio up 1.5ml per litre and see how that goes. Finally, a prodect that actually does what it says on the bottle!
Thanks for he advice guys.

have a look at this thread below. It was started 2.5 years ago and has been added to continously since. A very good read abotu octane booster. having read it, I 'm happy to use OB on occasion, particularly NF, but would prefer to have my car set up for pump fuel

Where can you buy Toluene? and how can you use it as an OB?
Can you just add it to a tank? or is there another way, IE via water injection.
I know aquamist is more for intake temp reduction, thus leading to less det, but could it be run all the time with Toluene as a OB?

Chris : Reds from the K/L are a big No No. Try up to 2ml/l NF but if you still get REDS you need a competant person to look at it. eg Chris/Merv at P.E. Also put the N.F. in the tank first as it has to mix with the rest of the fuel.
Toluene will come from oil and paint suppliers. You can use it at up to 20% and you will notice an effect at only 10% but it is a pain to be carrying around 5 or 10 litres and then having to add it at the fuel station. Not very practical except for playing about with.

I am not aware of any damage that would be caused to the engine directly attributable to Toluene. Biggest problem I think would be getting your calcs or mixing wrong and it is not really practical long term.
I have tried Pro Boost on a couple of occassions but with the map I had at the time there was lots of K.L. activity that was not there with N.F. at £8.50 I had big expectations and did not try it any further.
