Dazza!

Who said anything about keeping the standard turbo??????? The argument is wether the engine can handle 400bhp, and as there's a few running that power now i think that has answered the question

Daz, I never mentioned on what turbo, merely clarifying that the newage STi will run all day long on standard "internals" at 400 + HP. There are cars out there been running for nearly 12 months on a daily driver basis with this sort of power. Mine, Custom Scooby, G-Force Demo Car, APS Demo Car in Auz (500+) etc etc. When fuelled and set-up properly they are a very strong engine, far superior to early versions

FYI, the APS turbo ratings are somewhat pie in the sky if you read facts & results on NASOIC & some of the Auz forums. G-Force only managed to extract 404HP out of an SR40 with all the other mods stcuk to it as well

Just my personal opinion but I'd never, ever pay £40k for an Impreza. Full stop.

Are we all now in agreement that the Bug & Blob 6 speed tranny + Engine itself will take spirited road driving with up to 400 lb ft for 30, 50, 60+k miles?

Re-map + turbo + poss injectors and front I/C?

Will specified turbo and longer I/C plumbing give even more lag?

Calling Conrad and others....?

Gearbox Yes, I dont see why not.

Standard Turbo wont hold that power. But it wouldnt be a problem with the replacement one.

Dont think you'll notice the lag once its remapped properly.

Buy yourself a JDM spec one, they come better equipped

does it matter?! - at £40k it is just a little too silly! - I think the T25 wants to be £29k as anything over £30k for an Impreza is IMHO too much..............1 yr old STi struggles to make £18k - 1yr old generally gives the real value of the car as it is a negotiable 'auction' sort of value - wheas List is pretty much List and customer has little option but to accept huge depreciation. - Depreciation on a £40k Scoob could be fairly rapid......

Sorry Conrad, i did miss this point... the engine should be good fior the power, not heard of too many pops on the new lump...

Still i'd be happy with 360 to be honest...

not driven a scoob with more than the TSL PPP so would like to just a five min drive with something thats properly tweaked before i start going down the engine mod route...

300, but its a completely different kettle of fish to the equivalent 300bhp PPP, its not even worth considering comparing them

Here we go people... these are from Japfest in May, I just remembered I still had them on the PC
Sorry they are a little over size... and I do have a few more but they contain the reg plates and I have not figured out my new photoshop software as yet to blank them out.... I don't like to show them with the plates on.

I am assuming this is the WR1 that is for sale

Well I'll tell you this after looking close up at both...

The black one is not a very good fit at all close up you can see the lines of beading that holds slats in place.... the WR1 is a better job but in my book far from perfect.
Don't wish to offend but that's the way I see it.

Dazza, it was pretty amazing m8 tbh, I have road raced bikes for a couple of years and my STi 8 was like driving a 4 wheeled bike So Addictive and the noise or howl in third gear was just amazing. If you've just got the TSL set-up (and I have also been out in there car) then the difference is night and day. Get yourself a FMIC, injectors, induction set-up and a bigger Turbo

Those spoilers really do look very bad.

Would like to see the bonnet in the flesh, but the lack of any vents in the first place should be addressed, even if they dont serve any purpose

I thought the WRC vents were actually counterproductive on a TMIC car???

The cold air goes in the radiator, the hot air escapes from the top of the bonnet and then directly into the scoop and the TMIC!!!
