As for cotton wool wrapping etc... my boy is 8 and he sleeps in a tent on his own in the back garden no problem, last month my daughter stayed in it too.
Woops probably shouldnt say that but what the hell.

LOL Trumble, good job there isn't a 'Report To Social Services' button ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
but the question is, would you let your son sleep in a tent in a petrol station forecourt?
And why isn't that an option in the poll

"If you had a diamond necklace would you leave it on view in your car while you paid for petrol? Probably not.
Are your kids worth more to you than a diamond necklace? Probably."
lol....what nonsense. My kids are worth more than £5 (just) but i leave them at school unattended all day.....i wouldnt do that with a £5 note.

The key thing is to remember you left them in the car in the first place and not wander off for a coffee with a mate or something

BTW. Hope tiddles is doing well. D
The serious answer IMHO is to use common sense. One thing is to try not to be in the situation where they are left in the car - e.g. fill up some other time - easier said and than done I know. Personally I would take the risk at a filling station in a decent area for a couple of mins especially if I could see the car from the pay area.
